Very helpful front desk staff, who offered local knowledge of places to see and where to eat. The hotel was easy to find and in a great location for local transport. The room was spacious, clean and quiet. I was on business trip so only stayed one-night, but i did have an external meeting online call which crossed over with check-out and the lady at the front -desk was accommodating to suggest I use the Tv Suite as its quiet and i can work from there until I need to leave. Very thoughtful and accommodating!!

Great area and access to public transportation. Short walk to the Royal Palace and park. Large room in an old building with a kitchen and basic furniture. The shower was good but got the entire bathroom floor wet.

Lovely old place where a number of writers have stayed. Run by a family. Across from the Norwegian Literary House where there is a great bookstore and one can get a good meal or simply sit and read a book. Just feet from the Palace.

Did not have heater but wasn’t too cold.
Only 1 outlet.
Internet was too slow.
Everything else was great, the shower floors might be heated or retain heat well.

We got a room with separate beds which we did not prefer, but it was ok for one night. Building is old. The hotel would be good for a low budget trip. The location is great. Staff is nice.

Nice clean functional but small rooms (stayed in the budget room with share bath.) Was nice that there was a sink in the room. Quiet regarding hearing other guests (we didn’t). Confusing how to get into the hotel prior to checking in as the door remains locked. Entered as someone was leaving and they informed us the reception was on the 2nd floor

Really nice and friendly staff. Hotel was nice and conveniently located. Only slight issue was the noise from outside if you’re a light sleeper (if you have the windows open) from the traffic, but ear plugs would sort this. Would definitely stay again.

Basic but comfortable accommodation in an excellent location and at a fair price. Had read some reviews complaining about street noise but it looks like they may have installed new windows and I could barely hear a thing from outside even with a tram line right below my window! Staff were friendly and very responsive to messages prior to my arrival. Would happily stay here again.

A fine old building with character not far from the Royal Palace. From the central train station find Kong Harald street with the main shops and in the distant you will see the Royal Palace, once there take the right side diagonal and you reach the hotel, ten minutes walk.

The Cochs Pensjonat was an okay place to stay in the heart of Oslo. It’s not great if you have a car, as parking is about $40 USD per night in one of the public lots near the hotel. Also, weirdly, hand towels are not included in the room (I asked and they didn’t have them, but they would give you at kitchen towel if needed (?)). It was comfortable and quiet though, so I would recommend if you wanted to be near the palace and museums.

Location is great but very basic stay and expensive. May be expensive for the location but there is no soap and shampoo in the bathroom on the top of that no exhaust fan in bathroom so always room stinks basic amenities not available so I rate is two star only
