The party on Friday last to “4am” , and I’ll never recommend this hotel for travelers who plan to have business trip in Port Moresby.

Very friendly helpful staff.. No lounge areas to hang out in. Restaurants were great. Dated hotel but rooms were good enough.

The rooms were clean and tidy. Ground staff and securities were excellent. The cleaners did an amazing job keeping the rooms and yards clean everyday . It was quite windy and they did amazingly well in sweeping the leaves off the stairs and footpaths. I only had an issue with the front desk staff. I had paid for three rooms on the day we checked in 05/09/25 and two days into our stay I was told that I hadn't paid for one of the rooms yet. I explained to the front desk staff that I paid for all three rooms upon checking in but they insisted I hadn't paid. I even showed them that my account was debited on check in day and I had receipts to prove it. After all the back and forth the issue was resolved. In future I would suggest that staff do a thorough check before accusing guests for non payments.

Overall Service was good. Ample car park and loved the complimentary breakfast options.

I’m extremely disappointed with my stay at Lamana Hotel. What was meant to be a relaxing time with my female friends turned into an uncomfortable and frustrating experience. Staff Conduct & Discrimination: We were treated poorly simply because we were women. Staff were dismissive, condescending, and unhelpful throughout our stay. It was clear we weren’t being taken seriously, and requests that should have been standard were either ignored or met with attitude. To make matters worse, we witnessed bribery among the staff—offering “special treatment” or faster service to certain guests who paid extra under the table. Meanwhile, we were left waiting or overlooked entirely. Safety & Comfort: As a group of women, we didn’t feel safe or respected. The environment was unwelcoming, and at times intimidating. No guest—especially female guests—should have to feel this way in a place that claims to offer hospitality. Overall Experience: The service was poor, the staff lacked professionalism, and the culture of favoritism and sexism was deeply disappointing. Final Verdict: Lamana Hotel urgently needs staff training and a major shift in attitude toward female guests. I would not recommend this hotel to women travelers—there are better, safer, and more respectful options in Port Moresby

The property didn’t look anything like the pictures. It looked run down. The staff were horrible . Security guards had a lot of under the table arrangements. My girlfriends and I was taken advantage of because we were females. Not a good experience.

Stayed for state of origin, had a fantastic meal and enjoyed the game on the big screen.Very passionate atmosphere for the game

The room was good but I was kept awake through the night with staff members talking to guests. At 4am I finally lost it and told them to move away from the corridor. The doors on the rooms are the worst part of the hotel. Every word can be heard from both sides of the door. No peace and quiet and no privacy. Avoid this place like a plague if you’re there for a romantic night or just for peace and quiet. The commercial Pilot I needed to sleep and was seriously fatigued the next working day. Check-in took over 30 minutes, standing in the reception being ignored by staff.

I really enjoyed my stay at the Lamana. The pool left a little bit to be desired, but the room was fantastic, the staff was friendly and helpful, and I would definitely stay there again!

Rooms and surroundings are plush. Very clean and modern. Staff were great. Gold club was great with pool tables to play. And dance of coarse.

Haven’t been here in 5 years but can honestly say this a great place to chill relax recharge great restaurants friendly staff good club and a good atmosphere

Unique about the lunch buffet is the prize of fifty kina or 12 usd is the best for the budget and quality palatable food. But the guest or walk-in has the option of ordering a side dish on the luncheon menu and pay the same cost.
