HideAway Dive Hostel

The HideAway Dive Hostel really deserves its name, it is in the middle of nowhere. Fortunately, Google Maps/GrabCar was able to find it. The first night was horrible because the room was filthy. Dead flies on the bedsheets. The maid cleaned up on the next day. It was much better, but there were still some small black spots on the bedsheets. I did not receive a fresh towel. The shower needs maintenance. The shower head holder is broken and will eventually fall apart. The washbasin is not properly mounted to the wall. Just like the rooms, the shower room will need daily cleaning. You have to explicitly demand basic amenities like a towel. They do not have soap or shampoo in the shower room. The hostel is too expensive as that they could afford to not provide their guests with basic amenities and cleanliness. I must say that the hostel employees were very nice and helpful. They provided me with valuable travel information. They ordered Angkas motorcycle taxis. The staff was great. The breakfast was very basic, but delicious.
