Not awesome nor unsatisfying. Why are these the only two options? Red Planet is a budget hotel but it is newish, clean, with a comfortable bed and good shower, which is all you really need when doing the tourist stuff. It is close to the airport and has free parking. As I was picking up my daughter from the airport and didn't want to drive 4 hours to my home that evening, it was ideal. Breakfast may be included but I chose not to add it at reservation time. The breakfast was served in a cafe next to the hotel entrance and had a western option which was acceptable. There are other options for breakfast within walking distance.

Room was clean and spacious. For it's price, you'll be surprise at how well-kept the rooms are. Service was also superb. I'd definitely stay here again when I come back to Iligan.
