I wish we‘d had more than one night at this beautiful property. It was peaceful and relaxing. We had a lovely walk out to the coastal cliffs followed by a delicious dinner. The breakfast buffet was the best of our three week trip in Portugal.

I had a wonderful stay at Herdade do Touril. On a one day trip i Saturday over night only big I really enjoyed the peace and quiet of the place. To wake up to the sound of birds and of Violets the donkey was the cherry on top of the cake. Dinner and breakfast were tasty and plenty. The staff was friendly and very professional. A beautiful back at only a few minutes walk through a lovely, wild path Definitely a place to come back to.

Herdade Do Touril is one of the nicest places we have stayed in our many travels around the world. The facilities are quite nice and well maintained. The property is like none other, surrounded by thousands of acres of farmland.
It’s quiet, relaxing and one gets a sense of bring “away from it all” and yet there are miles of walking and biking trails along the ocean as well as through the farming areas.
There is a wonderful breakfast buffet from 0830-1200 hours. The ever present hotel manager, Luis and his able assistant, Tatiana were wonderful to us during our check in and throughout our stay. Our waiter, Diogo, at dinner each night was fantastic. And of course the place would not function without the resident donkey named Violeta who, along with her sheep and goat friends, provided endless entertainment. If travel plans bring you anywhere near Zambujeira Do Mar, you will not regret choosing Herdade Do Touril to relax and enjoy all it has to offer.

Great place to stay in the Zambujeire area. Quiet, good beds, excellent breakfast and dinner. Friendly, helpful staff. Perfect sunset view. Convenient to hike the Fisherman’s Trail. Bikes available, too.

Miguel and the rest of the staff made us feel at home upon our arrival. The cottage was lovely and peaceful. And we looked forward each morning to breakfast besides on the porch with birds providing the music.
Miguel guided us about activities in and around Zambujeira which helped us plan our stay there. Our son particularly loved petting and feeding the resident donkey on the property, Violet! We loved it here and would definitely want to visit Herdade do Touril again.

Our stay at Herdade do Touril was the relaxing escape we needed. We booked the double room apartment that was located across the road from the main building, which was a surprise, but didn't bother us since that allowed us to enjoy a private garden and a BBQ. The apartment also had a fully equipped kitchen which the hotel staff replenished with breakfast itens everyday. We also received fresh bread and pastry every morning. Overall, a very pleasant stay. Would definitely stay again at Herdade do Touril.

This was a marvelous property, very unique. We had a room with a fireplace, kitchenette and terrace. Breakfast was wonderful in a very nice setting, eggs were prepared to order. We started our day with a walk to the Cliffs approximately 1 KM away accessed from the property. Luis was extraordinarily helpful at check-in giving us not only recommendations for the immediate area but for the rest of our trip through Portugal. The only negative we can say is the Wi-Fi didn’t work at anytime during our overnight stay in our room, only outside.

An amazing place to stay over night all for a whole week. Charming beautiful decorated little farm houses. Where modern meets traditional. Would absolutely recommended. Right on the cycling and hiking path along beautiful Atlantic coast. Will try to come back ;)

Our check in was perfect the lady gave us a good orientation. Then we realised that we were staying in a field across the road from the main building which was a good 15 minutes walkaway. The room one of three was very small with an uncomfortable bed. The breakfast was at best average not as good as others had stated.
The area was very quiet and very scenic with free. bicycles a great way to see the beautiful countryside. We felt that it was not value for the price we paid.

This property was amazing, everything was well thought, from the decoration, to the amenities and the public areas. The team was very helpful and professional. The room was nice and spacious, extremely well clean, there was a fridge and facilities for coffee and tea. Outside the room there was an adjacent Terrance with two sunbeds, great to enjoy the sunset. The pool area is very pleasant with plenty of space to lounge. One of the nights we had dinner by the pool bar, the food was tasty and the wine list was great. Breakfast is in the top 5, plenty of offer, home made and local products, delicious bread and the little natas was to die for. We also borrow bikes to go to Zambujeira, easy pleasant ride. We loved to stay at this place, hope next time we can stay longer. A big thanks to all the team

Herdade do Touril
We love this place - quite and in the middle of nowhere, but very close to the most picturesque coastline of Portugal (5 min by bike or 15 min walk) and gorgeous beaches (15-30 min drive)
We are coming here third consecutive summer to enjoy tranquil rural experience in style. This year we stayed 4 nights In one bedroom apartment- nicely decorated, comfortable and cozy, part of the house with private terrace and countryside view.
Complimentary bicycles and gorgeous bike (hike) road along of cliffy coast toward to the light house Cabo Sardao is really good bonus.
Also this year been surprised how much improvement have been done at the property. It’s a bit price now but worth every penny.
Would definitely keep coming back here and highly recommend this place
