Perfect on every way. 10/10!

The atmosphere of the hotel was lively and friendly. The staff always had a smile and a warm greeting at any time of the day. The smell of the salt water intensfied the aroma at any time of the day. Everywhere it was clean including the lavatories. In all, I have already recommended and will recommend the resort. It is a diamond. Bravo to all!!

Great location , easy access to downtown Funchal .. the shuttle service made it easy and convenient. The property is clean , people are friendly. The food is FABULOUS! Totally worth it , can’t wait to visit again !

The hotel is beautiful and so is the beach and area in general. Very few of the staff are nice. Most are actually mean. The food and drink are terrible. Better off eating at restaurants and having the freedom to do that. All inclusive is a waste.

Overall a great resort. It’s location makes it a good option to explore the island. The food at the buffet was fresh. The only minus is there is Only 1 à la carte restaurant on site. If you can have a réservation, the service is so quick you barely can chew your food. All the personnel was beyond perfect !!! Travelling with 4 kids from 7 to 15, its was a great resort.

Nous sommes arrivés assez tôt et même si notre chambre n’était pas prête, nous avons été invité à nous détendre autour d’un verre, et de manger un morceau. Nous avons également pu nous délester de nos bagages. Quelques minutes plus tard nous accédions à notre logement. Impeccable C’était la première fois chez Riu, mais certainement pas la dernière: nourriture et personnel au top. Massage en couple testé : un super moment. Un matin nous nous sommes levé tôt pour faire une rando, malgré qu’il n’était pas encore tout à fait 7:30, nous avons été autorisé à prendre le petit dej sans rien demander. Peut être de petites attentions anodines mais qui font beaucoup. Merci pour ces superbes vacances

Management and staff of this Hotel were perfect and very attentive it made our stay so great

This place was amazing! Friendly staff, good food, proper drinks, clean room, everything. The only downside is that you cannot get drinks that are not on their menu, but that's okay they have a variety of options that were wonderful.

Just a regular resort. Nothing special

Our 25th wedding anniversary at RIU Madeira was a huge disappointment. The hotel completely lacks staff service—finding anyone to help was nearly impossible. No decent shows or entertainment at night left the atmosphere dull and lifeless. As vegetarians, we struggled to find anything to eat. Almost every dish had meat or fish, and there were zero real vegetarian options. The menu never changes, and the ice cream has the same boring three flavors daily. The chef or manager did not bother to make any effort to prepare a single dish for us!  There’s no jacuzzi! The pool hours are ridiculous: it is only open from 10 to 5, and there are no lifeguards on duty. The sauna and steam bath are also only open during those hours, so if you want to relax after a day out, forget it—everything is closed.  The staff didn’t bother to do anything special for our anniversary, which made us feel ignored and unvalued. Overall, there was no service, nothing memorable, and absolutely nothing to celebrate. I wouldn’t recommend RIU Madeira to anyone, and I certainly won’t be coming back.

We like everything

The hotel was great. Very clean and nice staff. Drinks at the bar were good and the food was okay. The buffet got old after the week. There was entertainment at night. I really enjoyed the stay and would stay here again.

Hôtel propre et personnel accueillant, grand choix de nourriture au buffet et qualité dans les aliments. Possibilité de marcher sur un boardwalk près de la mer. Petite épicerie, restaurants à proximité.

With many years travel this hotel are absolutely amazing

Delikat hotell, nydelig mat og godt utvalg, hyggelig betjening, god service i alle ledd. Fint med oppvarmet basseng ute i januar. Fint å gå tur i lokalmiljøet langs kysten, til et utsiktspunkt.

Utmärkt hotell med bra service, god mat och dryck. Suveränt god Revbensspjäll varje dag…. Det enda negativa är att det är lite för kuperat att vandra på runt hotellets omnejd…
