The breakfasts are ordered to make. There are a wide varities of choices. The room fittings are true to picture. Even though it is a family room at the lower basement, the natural lighting and ventilation are acceptable.

Friendly staff and good breakfast. Rooms are clean and house keeping is prompt. Only recommendation I would suggest is putting in a mini fridge in the room and changing the tv to a smart tv.

The hotel location was great, within walking distance to many of the sights of Edinburgh. The rooms were sparse, cheap particle board furniture, poor lighting, no basics like tissues and water glasses, and stained upholstered furniture. Service was inconsistent, poor the first two days of my stay and much improved the last two days. Certainly not a four star hotel at a cost of $300+ per night.

This is my second time staying here. Absolutely obsessed with the property! It’s the most stunning hotel with views from every angle. Lots of puzzles and games in the library too! Will absolutely stay here again.

Chris at the front desk was great, friendly and very informative about this amazing property. Room was very clean and huge, the view was breathtaking. We will definitely be back.

Room and view was lovely, breakfast was delicious, and the staff were very kind. Really a lovely property I would stay again for sure.

Nice option in a quiet section of Edinburgh

Helt okej. Mer som tre stjärnor än fyra. Dyrt, men det verkar vara normalt i Edinburgh Men har bott på billigare hotell med fler faciliteter i andra delar av Europa. Därför inte direkt prisvärt Kanske sparat in lite på personal? Lite svalt bemötande.

The hotel is beautiful inside with carved woodwork throughout, spiral staircase, cozy library, and fireplaces. The location is in a lovely part of town. The staff was top-notch -- very professional and accommodating. Our only complaint was that our room lacked some basic amenities, such as water glasses and tissues, and it had only one accessible charging outlet.

Overall, a fine hotel with friendly, attentive staff. Great location; beautiful building. I rated it down a bit because of minor annoyances: no Kleenex in the room, had to ask for additional toilet paper because room was not restocked, few and inconveniently located electrical outlets. Minor problems that could be easily fixed.

Such a beautiful hotel. They had the cutest library on the first floor. The breakfast was so good as well. Our room was so comfortable and clean. Would definitely stay there again.

We were there for a 7 night stay , placed in a “basement room” until we spoke up and got moved to a room on the 4th floor, which was better! Tried to have a cocktail in the bar, they were out of most liqueurs! Definitely NOT worth the $2700 dollars we spent in American dollars! We could have stayed in a much nicer hotel for the same price! Lesson learned!

Väldigt fin gammal byggnad. Har även ett väldigt fint bibliotek. Mycket lugnt område. Nära till allt. Frukost hade kunnat vara bättre, men överlag väldigt nöjda.

It's located at a beautiful & quiet location (close to Dean's Village) in a beautiful and well maintained house. Rooms are bid, comfort & very clean just as all the interior spaces are very clean and cozy. Breakfast is delicious, with a variety of options to savour.
