this small family run hotel was outstanding the room was spotless the food was excelent the staff where so help ful i can very confidently recomend

I wish it had a lift. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The breakfasts were especially nice.

The room was clean. The staff was great! The room was freezing!!! I confirmed twice I was still coming. The heat could have been turned on prior to arrival.

The room was excellent. The black out blind a welcome addition. The food at breakfast and dinner was tasty and plentiful and the staff were second to none.

Lovely hotel off the beaten track, great restaurant and bar next door, their burger was the best I’ve tasted in years.

Needed somewhere convenient for visiting nearby tourist attractions. The Coachman fitted the bill perfectly. Asked for a quiet room at the rear of the hotel which was perfect, dining was good too.

the good: - small and quiet despite being on the main road - restaurant is good - close to the bus line to Glasgow

Generally very good. Location: Kilsyth is a convenient location, while the hotel itself is very easy to find and on the main road through the town with ample parking. Food: There is a Lidl a few minutes walk away to stock up if need be while the restaurant food was amazing and reasonably priced. Cleanliness: The room's cleanliness was generally okay (with some dust and marks in the mugs being the only thing we noticed). Staff: Very friendly, helpful and accommodating. Sound: This would be our biggest issue, though it wasn't too bad. Being a very popular place, we could hear music from the downstairs event area in our room, albeit very faintly. If you are a very light sleeper, I could imagine that this could be a problem. For us, it was quiet enough to be ignored and did not disrupt our sleep.

Room was nice and clean, check out the next day early 11am, would have been better if 12pm, after being at a family birthday party. Food was good in the restaurant early evening, busy good job I booked a table.

Wonderfully dry and sunny but very chilly wind

The staff were very helpful and the restaurant was excellent. The room was cold (the radiator was full on and it was warm - but the rest of the room wasn't). The television rebooted while watching and the setup had to be configured for the channels.

Easy check-in, lovely room and en suite but heating only in bedroom so the bathroom was freezing. VERY poor wi-fi unfortunately and this limited tv viewing. This was our second visit. Plenty of parking and friendly staff.
