Great location, nice breakfast, good room

This property was lovely. Clean rooms, excellent breakfast and the staff were outstanding. The location was great and was within 10min walk to almost everything. The only negative was that the rooms were not soundproof. The building itself is old (historic and beautiful), so I’m guessing that’s why. It did not inhibit our stay at all though. Highly recommend!

Room was not upgraded as asked. The bed looked like it was left from a previous stay. Carpets not hoovered. Gowns washed out and could do with replacing. One pair of slippers!! Would not recommend and would not stay again.

Staff are fantastic. They go out of their way to make your stay comfortable. We had a slight problem with an allergy which they helped with immediately. I would not hesitate to return.

The front desk staff were amazing! 10/10 with assistance on any recommendations.

Arrived at midnight to be told the hotel has oversold its rooms for the night. Nobody contacted me to let me know. Every other hotel in the city was sold out. So I slept in the lobby for a couple of hours. The staff didn’t say “sorry” or “let us help you find a place to stay”. They just expected me to leave and sleep on the street. The price for the night was very high, and only begrudgingly refunded from Hotels.com There are bad hotels out there, but this one is perhaps the worst I’ve ever booked.

Enjoyed our stay and the location. Staff were friendly and room was clean. Liked the idea that they gave a free drink at the bar if cleaning wasn’t required. Good location for the city and the west end

I am picky, and I was delighted about the cleanliness of the Malmaison throughout. Friendly, sincere staff (no fake "have a nice day") and good food make this an excellent hotel for business or tourism.

Great friendly service, quiet peaceful comfortable nights, good food, excellent selection of choices for cooked breakfast, convenient for walking and bus services to Glasgow Queens Street Station. Great idea to have option of cleaners coming every two days and customers being given drink tokens as a reward.

Smashing check in and breakfast staff. Breakfast was great with the only let down being, the banging of the room doors at all hours.

The Malmaison suite was fantastic, found the duplex nature of it to be very spacious. Tv & sports channels were much appreciated and the room was kitted out with everything we needed, clean and lovely. The only downside was that both the USB points on the side nearest the tv weren’t working

We had a very comfortable stay at the Malmaison. Just far enough out of the hustle and bustle of busy downtown, but close enough that you can walk to a bus stop to get anywhere you need. The rooms were clean, functional, and comfortable. I would reccommend this hotel and definitely stay again.

Great hotel

Would not recommend this hotel. We had one disaster after another. We are still waiting on our refund from the first night. Creaky floorboards, thread worn carpets, no hot water in the morning. Restaurant is not good. We did get moved room due to now having hot water. New room was slightly better but air con in the room made a terrible noise, the smell from it was really bad and the controls buzzed all night. The hotel didnt charge us for the first night due to the issues which was something.

When I checked in, I was given a room whose window overlooked the main staircase down to the breakfast room, so it was naturally very noisy in the morning. Additionally, I found a cut fingernail on the room's desk when I was trying to do some work in the morning; a pretty disgusting thing to find, especially as my flight had been delayed, and I only arrived at the hotel at 1am. Despite the excellent location of the hotel, I would not stay here again.

Ground floor room very noisy,constant noise of bottles being skipped. No hot water at check in because of faulty pipe work.
