Owner and wife excellent hosts

Rod and Gloria were wonderful host. Our ferry arrived after dinner hours, so they prepared a platter of sandwiches so we'd have something for dinner. Rod greeted us upon arrival and provided an overview of the area and recommended various sites to see. We stayed at several B&Bs during our Scotland trip and this one was our favorite.

Every touch was thoughtfully offered, Rod was a great host, the food was good, the location was equidistant from everything, and we had a lovely time stying there.

Excellent facility. Rod and his wife were the perfect hosts. Rod shared lots of local info with us. The rooms are lovely. We were greeted with a wee dram and cake. I already recommended the B&B to other friends.

We absolutely loved staying at Wardicott! Rod was incredibly helpful before & during our trip - giving us a heads up about restaurants needing reservations and recommending all the must-sees in the area. The food for breakfast was also so good!! We really enjoyed feeling so cared for at Wardicott.

Rod was a wonderful host--very helpful and knowledgeable. The hotel is clean and comfortable, and breakfasts are delicious. We were happy to find a fan in our room, since our visit was during a very warm spell. Overall, we were extremely satisfied, and hope we have the opportunity to stay here again.

Wonderful 2 night stay at the Wardicott. Rod and Gloria run a very well thought out establishment, with everything you need, in a fabulous location (check out Tolsta and Garry beaches!) Rod ensures there are many personal touches, including a warm welcome and lots of useful information. Our bedroom was spacious, spotlessly clean and comfortable. The Wi-Fi signal was strong. Breakfast was great! Even for vegetarians. Highly recommend.

Rod and Gloria are wonderful hosts and Gloria is an amazing cook. We took up their offer to have dinner at Wardicott on our arrival night and it was amazing! We highly recommend the salmon. Rod was knowledgeable about all things Isle of Lewis and made some great recommendations for places to see. I wish we could have stayed on Lewis a bit longer so we could see more!

Location and property were perfect, with a welcoming treat from our host. We had everything we could need, fridge in the room, communal area only to ourselves (we were the only guests for a couple nights) and freshly made to order breakfast every morning. Would highly recommend and would book again on a future visit!

Our host Rod was excellent, very helpful lots of good advice, a pleasure to chat to. We stayed in a twin room the beds were extremely comfortable, the room was spacious, very clean, lovely bathroom, the towels and bedding were fantastic quality. There is a beautiful lounge to relax in too. The breakfast was fantastic and we had 2 exceptional evening meals there during our stay. This is a great B&B not to be missed if you want somewhere to stay on Lewis you will not be disappointed.

Couldn’t fault the stay one bit, from the welcome to the actual stay and an amazing breakfast. All covid measures taken serious which is really good to see. Highly recommend staying here for a perfect stay.

The Wardicot is a lovely place to stay for a short or longer stay. The owners, Rod and Gloria maintain a high standard of cleanliness and social distancing due to covid 19. They are also very welcoming and the breakfasts are scrumptious
