Maison Abaka is an oasis in a chaotic city. It has a lovely location, right on the beach, overlooking Mgor Island. It also has some very nice decks with chairs around a tiny pool and overlooking the sea. The rooms were good, with all that one needs to be happy. They are not luxurious but they are comfortable and clean with good showers and decent air con. The hotel is tucked down a dirt lane (with lots of garbage) in a residential area full of people... so it can be a bit noisy sometimes. That didn't bother us but could be too much for some guests. The breakfasts are underwhelming.

Très bon lieu de séjour à Dakar. Accueil très sympathique de tout le staff, très disponible et efficace. Chambre spacieuse et confortable ; Bon petit dejeuner qui peut etre pris sur la terrasse face à l'océan, accès aisé en ville (taxis sur la place toute proche) et une bonne ambiance dans ce quartier de pêcheurs animé

Every time I come to Dakar for work, I stay here! Nothing like working on the balcony with a sea breeze and view of the pirogues! :) The staff are also amazingly friendly and wonderful, and you can just walk out the door and be on the beach and have access to all the restaurants around, incluiding the delicious seafood at Cabane du Pecheur next door!

Has a beautiful view of the ocean, and very nice patio area - very pleasant atmosphere to wake up to. The room was loud in the mornings (first floor, could hear passing guests and doors opening/closing) and the breakfast was very expensive for what you get. Great location, taxi stand very close by.

A quelques centaines de mètres des rues commerçantes, vous vous trouvez tout d’un coup dans un village traditionnel pêcheur... Vous avez l’impression de ne plus être à Dakar... La chambre au 1er étage avec vue sur Ngor est super... Isabelle fait une très bonne cuisine...

Nice small hotel on the beach. Staff very friendly and even got to meet the owner. What I expected from and small boutique hotel on the beach.

Les : L'authenticité des lieux avec une decoration local artisanal, les plantes, les peroquets qui chante, le bruit du resaque de la mer , la proximite avec la plage a 10m du balcon avec une vue imprenable sur l'ile de Ngor, l'imersion au coeur de la vie de la population local . Les - : le petit dejeuner a base uniquement de viennoiserie et confiture pas recommandé pour les diabetiques, dejeuner continentale a organiser dans le futur.

Nice stay, with only a few minor issues. So minor I never complained, but the only reason keeping it from getting 5 stars. The location is nice, with several decent restaurants in the neighborhood and a huge taxi stand at the end of the block.The staff were excellent, friendly and helpful.

Great convenient location. Nice room and artfully done. Very friendly staff. Right on the beach and a lively safe area. The French owner is very accommodating and will cook for you with notice. I would highly recommend.

Pas représentatif de ce qui est présenté sur le site, la piscine est plutôt pour enfant et la plage n’est pas très propre, non baignable pour un touriste. Très dispendieux pour le service offert. Nous n’avons pas eu la chambre pour laquelle nous avons réservé et payé avec vu sur mer et le propriétaire n’a pas voulu faire de réduction de prix. De plus, ne payer pas avec carte de crédit car des frais de 3% sont ajoutés à la note. Je ne recommande pas l’endroit.

Le bord de mer, le personnel a l'ecoute Bonne cuisine Mais ouvertures et fermetures des portes et fenetres impossibles, eclairage tres faible, lampes de chevets trop petites impossible .pour la lecture du soir Iphone et tablette, difficile d'utilisation, peu de connexion Eau chaude peu frequente

great little base in the heart of ngor. friendly staff, awesome restaurant/bar area overlooking the beach. very few rooms so not too crowded. only downside is that its located off a sand alley 3 min from the main road so not the easiest of you are lugging baggage.

There is no filter in the pool and a bit dirty, it’s a very small jacuzzy is quite small not running properly.. there’s No shuttle as advertised. Beautiful beach but garbage everywhere.. However, all the staffs are excellent, very attentive and great !!
