Our stay at Royal Horizon Baobab in La Somone was truly unforgettable. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed by the kindest, most polite and professional staff across all services — kitchen, waiters, animation, cleaning, and security. Everyone made us feel at home.
The food was absolutely amazing, with diverse and delicious choices every day. The pool area was spotless, with comfortable sunbeds perfect for relaxing while enjoying the beautiful surroundings and stunning views.
There were plenty of fun activities and entertainment programs to keep everyone engaged. The location is ideal, with the village nearby and exciting experiences like Bandia animal reserve, quad rides, and boat trips in the Somone Lagoon.
A special shout-out to Issa, Tina, Amadou, Mata, and Ismael from the animation team, and to Pape and Adama from the waiting team — you made our stay extra special!

Die gesamte Anlage ist sehr schön gestaltet und gepflegt.Es wurde den ganzen Tag geputzt, alles war sehr sauber. Das Personal war stets freundlich, hilfsbereit und bemüht, allen Gästen gerecht zu werden. Die Zimmer sind relativ einfach ausgestattet aber ausreichend, man hält sich ja gewöhnlich nur nachts darin auf. Entgegen der Meinung anderer Gäste haben wir immer Personal gefunden, dass Englisch sprach, falls uns jemand nicht verstanden hat, hat er schnell Hilfe organisiert. Das Angebot an Speisen und Getränken war sensationell.
Wir haben über das Hotel einen Ausflug nach Dakar gebucht, der Preis war okay. Der Ausflug war sehr interessant, der englischsprachiger Guide hat uns im Museum auf Goree eine Privatführung gegeben.

Our stay at Royal Horizon Baobab in La Somone was truly unforgettable. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed by the kindest, most polite and professional staff across all services — kitchen, waiters, animation, cleaning, and security. Everyone made us feel at home.

There were plenty of fun activities and entertainment programs to keep everyone engaged. The location is ideal, with the village nearby and exciting experiences like Bandia animal reserve, quad rides, and boat trips in the Somone Lagoon.

Wir hatten ein Zimmer mit Meerblick. Die Aussicht war sehr schön. Die gesamte Anlage ist sehr gepflegt. Viele vom Personal haben sich große Mühe gegeben und andere hat der Gast nicht interessiert.

Personnel courtois, chambre spacieuse mais qui sentait extrêmement fort la peinture (probablement un mystere local pourquoi repeindre l'interieur des chambres durant la saison seche alors que l'hotel est complet plutot que pendant la saison creuse....), restaurant inclus : nourriture très moyenne : fade. Les pseudo specialtes locales ne sont qu'une pale copie de la réalité, alloco pas cuit, poulet yassa insipide etc, par contre un choix important de plat
L'hotel dispose d'une vue exceptionnelle sur la mer

Clean room and check-in was flawless. Local staff as cleaners or gardeners are very nice. We did not like staff working in the dining room and bars, they are not much nice, rather rude and slightly passive agressive.

The room that was initially given to me was not great, and I asked for a change, which the team handled without any issues. Overall, this is a nice location, the staff were very nice, and the food was great as well.
