I enjoyed my stay at the Tamarind. Walk into Philipsburg was about 20 minutes buts that's fine with me as I enjoy walking. There was a small supermarket close by for essentials.
The accommodation was good and was clean. Kareem the manager is a nice guy who was helpful and enquired regularly about how I was enjoying my stay.
Only issue was that the mini cooker and oven did not work. However I was happy with a cold meat, cheese and tomato platter for breakfast in the mornings.
Transport from Philipsburg was fine. I used the local bus service to travel round the island. You just flagged the bus down in town though there were designated bus stops to wait at. Great way to travel and meet some of the local people. Cheap as well to travel.
Philipsburg was limited with restaurants that were open at night. However I went to the island before tourist and cruise ship season had fully started.
A great holiday in the sun on a beautiful island.
