I was in Durban for a business trip and have booked Five Burnham for one night. I can highly recommend the place: safe neighborhood, beautiful rooms, pool and roof terrace jacuzzi, good breakfast.... There is really nothing I missed and thanks to Hilary I felt like at home way from home.

Hillary, our host, was exceptionally friendly and had suggestions of relaxing activities to do. She also has a list of suggested restaurants. The breakfast was excellent.

5 Burnham is located close to Umhlanga Rocks and the Unhanglanga Ridge Shopping Mall and very close to the coast. It is a quiet neighbourhood, ideal for B&B and suitable for business purposes. Secure off-street parking and en-suite rooms met my requirements. The breakfast is a great start to the day.

Very friendly welcome and good choice at breakfast after a great night sleep. What more does one need?!

Beautiful, quiet place, no regrets.

I stayed here for 3 nights and from the moment Hilary personally welcomed me with a smile the whole experience was wonderful. Every detail was attended to, and every member of the staff was cheerful and attentive. They even made me exactly the breakfast I requested, though it wasn't on the menu. (Poached smoked haddock, fried eggs and tomatoes - - - delicious!) My room was spacious, comfortable and had every convenience, including a monkey who came in through a window I had left open too wide.

The B&B was great. Was welcolmed warmly upon arrival. The room was small - this is my only complaint. The breakfast was great, warm and cold selection servied from early in the morning.

This guesthouse is beautiful with lovely staff. The nearest town, Imhgala Rocks, is starting to resemble a Canary Isles resort with lots of new hotels going up and cheap restaurants.

Hilary the host was so wonderful & kind. It felt like home. All the staff were incredibly friendly & kind. The breakfast is exceptional. Visiting from California. I look forward to coming back next year.

I was met by a friendly host, however unfortunately, I was allocated room number 2, which was very small (2.5m x 4m) and cramped. Considering the price, this is definitely not value for money. In addition, the air conditioner was not working, which added to the discomfort and worst of all, the water feature right outside the window, ensured that I had no sleep at all. My 5 am alarm finally put me out of my misery.

I have stayed at this guest house a couple of times now and have never been disappointed. The staff can't do enough for you. The rooms have everything you need, kettle, tv and shower. The brie area is a nice touch. I would recommend this guest house to anyone.
