Catalonia Born is clean, comfortable, has a very good breakfast, and the staff is exceptional.
It's location is easy walking distance to dinning and shopping. And Passeig de Lluís Companys (park) is directly next door for exercise and relaxing.
The hotel is located in El Born neighborhood, which is a medieval area adjacent to the ancient Roman Gothic Quarter Barcelona.
Overall, Catalonia Born is very a enjoyable stay and gave us all we needed for a great experience in Barcelona.

We actually didn't get to stay there. There was a train strike in Italy and we couldn't get there for the first night of the reservation. The hotel would not work with us and still charged us. The strike interrupted our train from Zurick to Florence. The hotel was rude when trying to talk to them about this.

Staff was not friendly, whole floor smelled like smoke even though it was supposed to be non-smoking. No noise proofing so lots of noise from other guests. Air conditioning did not work well.

The hotel was very clean with welcoming staff. The shower had great water pressure and the WiFi was fast. It is a cozy place in the city and within walking distance to most attractions. What we really appreciated was the bathroom having a proper door instead of a glass one which made the stay much more comfortable.

Great place. Very safe and walkable to all main attractions. Front desk always pleasant and even gave us room earlier than check in time. Room is smaller but thats expected in all big cities. Hotel is not big too. Overall great experience.

Fabulous hotel. Hotel staff very helpful. Hotel pool and roof terrace was wondetful with a view over the city. Terrace pool service for drinks and snacks very effecient. Lovely resturants, Arc de Triompf, park and zoo nearby as is the metro.

The staff (front desk, dining, cleaning) were so kind and accommodating from check-in to check-out. The room was very nice (shower, bidet, fridge, AC), the gym/pool was good (I didn’t use the pool but it looked relaxing and the gym had enough for my workout), breakfast was delicious, and the hotel is close to the metro and the bus as well as multiple walking destinations. Since there are minimal cars in the area it is also a very quiet area that I felt safe enough to walk around at night. I would go back and recommend to others! :)

This a very good hotel. Rooms are quite small perhaps because it is located in a historic zone, mostly pedestrian. For the same reason it is overpriced comparing other same category hotels. Breakfast is very good. The only problem we had in the six days we stayed was the lock of the room that needed several attemps to recognize out card keys each time we tried to enter the room, although we had to remagnetize these cards sometimes.
