There was a gentleman on reception he was fantastic, helpful, friendly, really great service - everyone ignored us.

Hotel was in a great location. Rooms and public areas very clean and staff helpful. Breakfast was fresh and had all the choice needed. Great base for a city break in Barcelona.

The front desk staff at the hotel were extremely helpful and friendly, my room was beautifully cleaned each day, and the neighborhood can't be beat - the restaurants and shops and points of interest are all there within blocks, and I spent hours exploring each day. I was at Ciutat de Barcelona for 5 nights/6 days, and would have loved to stay longer. I will definitely be back.

Didn’t like the way the staff addressed our complaints . The TV and the phone did not work and the response was: you can do without TV for 1 night

A great stay at hotel ciutat. Staff were very helpful before we arrived in accommodating changes we made to our trip. We arrived at the hotel at 1pm and were delighted to discover our room was ready to check into. Hotel is in a great location and we were able to walk everywhere. Plenty of choice at breakfast and a secure room to leave our luggage on the last day. Pool area is nice but due to our late October stay, it was too cold to get into We enjoyed relaxing and reading on the sun loungers though. Thanks to the staff for a lovely stay. We will be back!

Very nice, centrally located with walking/metro access to main attractions

The hotel is fine, but it’s old and it’s not well maintained. Lots of scratch on the walls and the mattress was hard. It’s not bad, but for the price I was a expecting a better room. The employees were really accommodating and helpful. I heard there renovating all the hotel soon. I assume they share my opinion

Hotel room: Little disappointed when walking into the room d2 sewage smell, dirty walls, no cup/coffee/fridge, small room, old fashioned bathtub with the shower curtain that flies and hot/cold water temperature. After having understood the drought and industrial water pollution in the city, these can all be explained. The room is probably partially renovated as shown by the floor/door. Bottle water is cheap sold in supermarket on the street and communal fridge at the end of the hallway. 3.5/5 The hotel location is superb. Within 5 minutes, walk to Metro L3 Jaime I station, bus stations that lead to Barceloneta beach etc, attractions: Picasso Museum, Basilica de Santa Maria del Mar, Ciutadella Park, other modern arts museum, flemenco shows, abundant restaurants, tapa bars, pastry shops, supermarkets. Very convenient. Had to count on Google maps to move around the historic districts through the small Alleys and unmarked streets though. 5/5 Great breakfast buffet. 4.5/5 Free luggage storage though unsupervised in basement room. Had to pay extra City tax for each hotel night stay. If using public transportation, it's about 1 hr. We used taxi ~€50. Suggest to buy 1, 2, 3 day travel ticket for unlimited ridea: bus, Metro, airport and funicular that we got to every place we liked to visit. Online advanced purchase to La Sagrada Familia/tower, Park Guell or sold out for the time desired.

Hotellet er meget godt beliggende med kort afstand til alt vi havde brug for. Hotellet var rent og pænt og personalet venlige og hjælpsomme. Vi havde betalt for morgenmad i 4 dage, men fandt den så ringe, at vi forsøgte at få penge retur for de sidste 3 dage. Det fik vi ikke. Hotellets rooftop er en rigtig god mulighed for at komme ud og få sol, luft og lys. Man billederne på annoncen svarede ikke helt til standarden, hvor bl.a. mange af solsengene var i stykker.

Het hotel heeft een geweldige ligging en het personeel is erg vriendelijk. Het was ook schoon, maar sommige plekken konden wel wat onderhoud gebruiken. In onze hotelkamer was het erg gehorig, zowel van binnen als van buiten. De douche was een groot drama. Slecht onderhouden en het water ging van koud naar kokend heet zonder aan de thermostaat te zitten. Erg gevaarlijk! Ook de waterdruk varieerde. Je kan de ijzeren veren door het matras van het bed heen voelen. Het ontbijt was iedere dag exact hetzelfde en de warme gerechten waren tegen koud aan. Er was voldoende keuze, maar het was zeker niet geweldig.

Originally we were in a room on the first floor facing the street. Night noise-from midnight to 4 AM was intolerable. The next day the nice staff moved us to a quiet room and we were very happy.

The property was in a good location, so really liked that, was definitely not a fan of the pool though. But other than that it’s alright.

Great Location!!! The staff was super friendly. We arrived very early in the morning and they were able to give us the room . The roof top the drinks are amazing and the prices very affordable. Everything around is excellent , restaurants,shopping, etc . Will stay here again !!!
