Setting was beautiful, rooms were very comfortable, views spectacular. Unfortunately the restaurant did not live up to our expectations for dinner. Breakfast was great. Olga at the front desk was incredibly helpful.
Taxi from hotel to Llafranc, about a mile, costs between $20-35. There should be a shuttle for guests.

What a fantastic and beautiful hotel, with excellent service. The hotel is located overlooking the beautiful beach town of Llafranc, and has phenomenal panoramic views of the Costa Brava. Staying here feels like you’re on top of the world.

La chambre avec terrasse et vue sur mer ne nous a pas déçus! La chambre, spacieuse, est décorée avec sobriété et beaucoup de goût. Toutes les terrasses sont équipées d'une table, 2 chaises, 2 bain de soleil et parasol...de quoi passer d'agréables moments de repos face à la mer. Literie très confortable. Personnel accueillant et très disponible. Service de repas en chambre efficace.

The highlight of El Far is its location: perched on the top of a cliff with panoramic views across the vast expanse of Med and the heavily wooded Catalan interior.
Room very pleasant and modern with terrace for chilling and watching the sun set.
Breakfast and coffee in the conservatory wasn’t particularly enjoyable - simply down to the autumnal heat. Maybe in summer it would be better if the glass doors and windows were open.
