We loved this hotel. It’s clean, super comfortable, and the desk staff ant check in and bar staff were super friendly and super helpful. We would have given a full 5 star review had it not been for our breakfast experience. The breakfast buffet doesn’t open until 7:30, which is way too late. We were lucky that our flight was late enough that we were able to eat. However, while we were waiting for the buffet to open, we witnessed another hotel guest trying to get something quickly from the buffet at 7:20 because he had to leave for his flight. The buffet staff refused to allow him to take any food at all from the buffet because it was 7:20, not 7:30. Mind you that the buffet was fully stocked. They would not allow a guest to take any food from a stocked buffet so that he could leave for the airport because it was 10 minutes early. There is no place in the hospitality industry for this type of rigid stupidity. Period. When I said something about what we witnessed to the front desk staff at check out, the girl at the desk got snappy and defensive with me about their policy. So now I know when I’m booking a hotel and have an early departure, especially a flight, never book with Hampton again if expect to be able to grab breakfast before I go.
