Hostal Cala Boix

In summary, a wonderful location thats much cheaper than others nearby but don't expect any luxuries or modern decor, and least of all customer service. Probably the most secluded area on the island which is lovely, but the walls are paper thin! bring ear plugs if you don't want to hear your neighbour's nocturnal activities! The pool area was a fabulous setting on the cliff edge but run down, lots of tiles peeling off which were sharp and tatty and the sunbed mattresses were filthy. We were given no information on restaurant opening times, breakfast provision or options to use any communal areas, there seemed to be some lounge area but not obvious it was open to us. A little customer service would have gone a long way her, perhaps we would have eaten in their restaurant, which is clearly a family run establishment but their screaming rows with each other one afternoon was off-putting! Generally good value, but we were glad it was only 2 nights..

Excellent séjour, hôtel au milieu de nul part avec chambre vue sur la mer pour notre part. Personnel accueillant et à l’écoute. Piscine à l’extérieur de l’hôtel mais endroit paradisiaque avec vue également sur la mer, possibilité de boire un café, un thé, de l’eau… table de ping pong à disposition, avec également d’autres activités . Restaurant de l’hôtel très bon, les assiettes sont copieuses et le prix est convenable, nous recommandons

Pool is about 300m away from the Hostal. Photos are on my opinion deliberately miss leading. The whole place is much different in reality from who it is advertised. Positive: Beautiful beach nearby, friendly staff, fair prizes for breakfast offerings...

Nice little hostel on the beach. Bathroom could do with updating but that’s the only comment. The evening restaurant is really good.

L’accueil par Ita fut fantastique avec beaucoup de gentillesse et de convivialité ! L’hôtel est simple et familial où l’on s’y sent bien. La piscine est un petit coin de paradis.

Cadre reposant et privilégié, les chambres sont en rénovations, malheureusement nous avons eu l'une des 3 chambres non-refaites, c'était donc un peu vieux avec une salle de bain désuète et pas en bon état.

Las habitaciones son grandes y confortables. Al lado de la playa de la cala Boix. Los viernes desde hace 30 años hacen sardinas a la brasa buenísimas. La única pega es que las habitaciones cuádruples son dos dobles unidas por una puerta y solo hay aire acondicionado en una.

Lo mejor la ubicacion , lo peor las puertas muy malas, se oían todos los ruidos del pasillo y el baño dejaba que desear. Los muebles y decoración anticuados.

Hotel très calme et bien isolé. La plage est à côté... la piscine elle à plus de 400m à pieds, donc pas dans l’hôtel. Par contre jolie piscine et très belle vue sur la crique. Au bas de l’hôtel il y a deux restaurants et un autre à 100m. Plein de places pour garer sa voiture.

Cala Boix is a wonderful small beach with only one hotel and 2 or 3 restaurants. Relatively quiet compared to other Ibiza beaches, I would recommend the surroundings. The hotel is very expensive for what we had. We were in the apartment which was not renovated unlike the other rooms. The extra bed was broken and we had to insist several times to get a bed in which someone could actually sleep. Cleaning was approximate. The pool is nice but 5 minutes walk away from the hotel. Definitely not worth the 250 eur per night we paid .... half the price would have been more reasonable

We were really pleased that we choose Hostal Cala Boix for our April break. It's in a lovely, quiet part of the island and the nearby beach was small but pretty, with easy access to many other beaches in our hire car. Without a car it might have been difficult to get there as the transfer could be expensive but distances are small and the hotel offers free hire of good quality bikes which makes it easier to get around without a car. Our room was a good size with a balcony and a good shower, and the staff were helpful, quickly providing anything i asked for eg hot water for making our own drinks.(there's no kettle in the room). We didn't use the restaurant much as my daughter doesn't eat fish, but I did have sole and calamari and both were delicious.

Nice hotel with friendly people. Close to a romantic small beach. Not much to do here but a good base for further exploration of the island. Nice and friendly people at the hotel, only their English is not so good.

El día de entrada al hostal , la recepción estaba desatendida... alguien del restaurante me dijo que tocaría esperar porque el recepcionista no estaba. Y así fue.. esperamos durante 1/2 hora hasta que un camarero, decidió darnos unas llaves , tras tanto desconcierto... Nadie nos explicó nada. Cuando volví a la recepción, según indicación de la camarera, aún no apareció el recepcionista.. En toda mi estancia, no lo conocí. Un tal Joan.. is mising La piscina no está en el mismo recinto, cuando ves las fotos da la impresión que está dentro y no es así. Está en una finca a unos 5 o 10 min andando . Debí de tener mala suerte, nada salía como lo esperado. La atención no la puedo valorar como positiva. El personal no es muy profesional, creo que intentan salir del paso como pueden, sin orden alguno. Al hacer el chek out , pretendían cobrarme de nuevo la estancia, cuando yo ya lo había pagado a vuestro portal. En fin !! Un desastre de experiencia!!

Bien, en general. Trato muy agradable. Ropa de cama muy gastada.

We hired a car at last minute - really glad, the beach is lovely but too many jellyfish to swim so we needed to go to different beaches. Pool area is great but it is small (so if there are noisy kids around there's nowhere to escape!) hotel staff and service was poor, often rude (reluctant to acknowledge you) - although this might improve in high season when there is a buffet on and you don't rely on them to take any orders (we just got used to breakfast taking 30+ mins to arrive, not great food but it was fine for some bread, cheese and fruit!) the rooms are basic with thin(ish) walls but clean and decent size! Cleaned everyday. If you have a car to travel there are tonnes of other great beaches and restaurants to go to (even the nearest shop is quite a distance!) so overall this didn't spoil our experience & we were grateful for the nice room to come home to and quaint area! I would recommend with caution - don't expect a resort with amenities!

Rustig gelegen aan fijne cala. Kamer was basic. Douche uitstekend maar matrassen een dikke min. Beddengoed hele week niet verschoond, best minimaal. Kamer 106 zit boven de machinekamer van restaurant eronder wat tot laat herrie geeft, moet je tegen kunnen. Geen wifi. Wel mooi uitzicht, geen balkon. Mensen zijn vriendelijk, restaurant is gezellig, het eten eenvoudig.
