A bit of a disappointment, having just stayed at the brilliant Parador de Baiona. This is a very small and poorly staffed Parador, where despite having international guests, they do not serve tea at breakfast and you have to ask for everything, you cannot access much of the castle and they put you in rooms without a view when only a few of the 34 rooms are occupied - not much incentive to return?!
Cuidad Rosrigo itself is a lovely little town!

Mooi gelegen hotel. Leuk gerenoveerd. Ontbijt prima. Makkelijk parkeren (tegen betaling). Goed gerenoveerde badkamer. Kamer op zich ok maar vol met vliegen. Zowel kleine als grote vliegen. Volgens de receptie was dit “normaal” voor de tijd van het jaar. Ik heb 2x gevraagd om de kamer te laten spuiten met een verdelgingsmiddel tegen de vliegen, maar dat hebben ze niet gedaan ondanks de belofte om het wel te doen. Voor een dergelijke overnachtingsprijs mag je denk ik een kamer verwachten die niet vol met vliegen zit. Erg teleurstellend.

Un parador muy bonito. Se puede aparcar fuera en la calle, se paga a partir de las 10.00h. El parador se ve bastante nuevo, mas que otros que conozco. Habitacion muy bonita con baño amplio. Desayuno muy completo con buen espreso de maquina.
