Public areas had a nice castle look. Our room had a lovey view. Breakfast was good, especially sitting in the courtyard.
The hotel location is great for exploring the historic town and walls. Hotel parking was tight, but much better than dragging cases up the hill from the public parking (which was very full).
I had an issue with my car, which involved calling a mechanic (who spoke no english). The reception staff were very helpful communicating with him for me.

The hotel is beautiful - has such a rich history. The view from the room was exquisite. The room was spacious, although some areas could use some fresh paint or touching up. The bathroom is nice. Hotel bar closed 30 minutes earlier than listed online. But overall pleased with my stay.

We are lucky to be upgraded to a very big and comfortable room with beautiful sea view! There are different functional rooms we can visit. They are so great! However, the breakfast has little choice with only bread,cold cut food and fruit. It's better to have some hot food like eggs, sausages.

The castle itself is lovely, but the rooms are very dated. My bed was pretty hard, even for someone like me that likes a firm mattress. The AC worked great, and the shower was very good. No bidet. Rooms are small, which is to be expected. The service was hit and miss. People are not warm, mostly courteous enough. For the cost, I expected more. Overall, would not stay again.

The hotel is in an excellent location with a lovely view across the estuary of the river. The hotel has been converted from an historic fortress which gives it a very unique charm. The staff were very welcoming and helpful in making arrangement for restaurants and taxis. There was a wide variety of choices of food for the breakfast. We had a very enjoyable stay and would go back.

Lovely castle hotel overlooking the sea and harbour, right at the top of the old town. Excellent comfortable bedrooms with lovely bathrooms and excellent shower. Superb breakfast with eggs cooked to order. Really helpful friendly staff at reception and in the cafeteria and breakfast room.
Oh and there are some rather special Rubens tapestries and other amazing antiques in this ancient and venerable building!

El parador tiene dos problemas: está en reformas entonces tiene trabajadores y polvo por toda la recepción y el resto de la planta baja, que esperemos se solucione pronto y el otro que no le veo solución es que carece de un restaurante. Si queréis comer algo hay sitios pero a unos diez minutos caminando y si hay lluvia se complica. Es el primer parador que visito sin restaurante, para un hotel de esta categoría terrible
