Other than the rooms are extremely small, everything else was great: great people, great service, fairly clean, plenty of coffee, needs to have more AC on the waiting room.

Great service, Although the room was smaller than I realised

A great, themed room in lovely building in a central location of the Old Town. Close to bars, attractions and transport with helpful staff on hand for most of the time.

Great location though our room #7 was a bit noisy late into the evening due to being above and across the narrow street from a lively bar. Excellent, friendly service (gracias Vickey) and a great location in the Casco Viejo. Would definitely stay again 😃!!

We had a lovely stay at Pensión Basque Boutique. The location is great, staff at reception were excellent with helpful advice on places to visit & eat. The only thing to be aware of is that it’s up two flights of stairs with no lift.

Helpful and friendly reception staff. Quirky and clever decor. Well equipped room and fine for a stopover as the location is great for cafes, bars, restaurants and grocery shops. I’d have liked to have smelt fresher better quality pillows and a mattress which didn’t dip towards my partner. Shower edges need redoing/cleaning.

DONT STAY HERE – I booked through Expedia and the hotel could not provide a working room key or access to my room. For hours I had no way to enter, and the hotel was completely uncontactable — even when Expedia tried to reach them. I was charged for a stay I never received and still haven’t been reimbursed. Unprofessional and unacceptable.

Thoughtful staff, attention to details were greatest strengths

The people who helped us were amazing. The room was themed and very nice. Some people have mentioned noise being a problem. We were not bothered at all and found everything very charming.

My room was cute, clean and the AC worked!!!! The staff was friendly and informative. As a solo woman traveller, it was easy to pop around to have a bite to eat and drink and I felt safe. Cosco Viejo was super lively. It was loud until late into the night and in the morning the trucks cleaning the streets and the bar clean up - glass/keg disposal etc woke me up ... but for me... it was an opportunity to get up and get going. However, I did appreciate the ear plugs they provided. If you have mobility issues, this may not be your place as cars are not allowed in the Old Town and there is not an elevator...but I would stay here again and again!

Nos apoyaron en todo momento, el lugar espléndido, todos excelente. Se siente un poco de ruido, pero logras dormir.

Lovely property in the middle of the old town - full of character, very clean and perfect for a family.

Great location, but easy to miss within the heart of old Bilbao. Be aware that it’s within a pedestrian area so if in a rented vehicles park at the nearby underground parking which is approximately 10 minutes walk away.

Check in was difficult. We had no idea what to do to get into our room. We finally called expedia who called the the Casual property where two young women were able to help us. Then the door to the room would not open and we had to go back to get one of the women to help. The lock was jammed and there continued to be times when it stuck room 108. Overall we are quite happy despite the frustrating beginning.

Perfect location

Habitación pequeña pero funcional. Es un edificio antiguo reciclado. La ubicación estratégicamente es muy buena porque está en el corazón del casco antiguo. Puede jugar un poco en contra el ruido por la cantidad de gente que se reune en los bares, pero para nosotros esto no fue un problema. El único punto crítico q mejorar es la presión de agua en la ducha; luego de andar recorriendo la ciudad todo el día, no hay nada mejor que una buena con ducha de agua caliente y en este aspecto, no fue satisfactorio. En conclusión, buena tarifa para la ubicación.

Great location, friendly team, comfortable room... but the central location is very noisy at night so you will definitely need to use the free ear plugs.
