The location description is totally off, took me 10 min drive to get here. Lousy

I had read some not so great reviews before leaving however I found Amora Lagoon a lovely hotel. It is a hotel in another country so things aren’t always going to be exactly what you expect from a local hotel however I found it quite pleasant. The staff were friendly and helpful, the pool was clean and beautiful, the room clean and comfortable with air conditioning and only a few minutes drive to the airport. The shower pressure in two of the three rooms we stayed in was not fantastic but again this is common overseas. I wouldn’t want to stay in a room right near a function but other than that… a great place to stay. We stayed three separate nights.

Far from the airport,isn’t four minutes walk from the airport Only accessible by taxi and cost per one way taxi 10$, So please correct the wrong info about the distance. I would prefer to stay in a hotel closer to the airport for 20$,intsted 70$ for this one

Checked in for some sleep before a late-night departure. Unfortunately they were hosting a wedding with music so loud the windows and cutlery were vibrating. Left early in search if somewhere more quiet (like perhaps next to the runway). Duty manager promised a refund, which has never arrived.

Enjoyed staying, the pool, and garden. Late checkout was at a fair price. Will be happy to stay again.

Great hotel, with wonderful service on a beautiful beach. Who could ask for more? Scuba diving was also great.

I got there late after noon and was able to have a meal from the restaurant prepared which was delicious !The bathroom needed painting and the mattress on bed was not comfortable. Also kettle was broken. Otherwise room was very nice and clean and the staff were just wonderful!

The hotel is 3 km from airport not 300 meters like discribe. Love this place. Great value for money. I arrived after 17 hours flights.

I needed a hotel where I could stay for one night before meeting my cousin for a week long travel around Sri Lanka. It was close enough to the hotel and easy to get to. The staff were super nice and check in was easy. I had dinner at the restaurant that evening. The meal was taking a while to prepare so they offered me an appetizer on the house which I appreciated. The room was quite large. It was a great place to stay for a night.

Booked Room tired and not cleaned ! Cockroach on floor and tiny insects seen crawling around on bedsheets. Pillow cases and bedsheets had stains and unlaundered. Another room was offered was slightly better. Good shower and good breakfast

This was a disappointing stay. We thought the hotel would be very close to the airport buv even at 4 am it was a ten minute drive. Rooms are modest, coridoors shabby and restaurant ordinary.

It’s a beautiful place to stay

The rooms are well equiped, modern and clean. However, on arrival we were told there was a wedding and there would be loud music until 11:00pm. Given it was a wedding this was not an issue but it would have been courteous to message some days before which is possible through expedia. Unfortunately the music didn't actually stop until 12:30 and in addition, there was a significant amount of clear up noise taking place. The restaurant was unfortunately our worst meal of our two week sri lanka holiday. Overall, for a night before or just after a flight we would find a different place in the future.

This airport hotel is one of best options around the area, it offers a cleaner and spacious room as compared to others. However, I do not appreciate the staff called my room in the morning asking if I'd like to have breakfast in the room, making me think that it's included in the room rate when in fact I was charged an additional fee for it.
