Beautiful hotel, very centrally located and right next to the ocean. Our room was nice and spacious and clean. Staff and management were very nice and helpful all around. Eg 1: I had hurt my ankle the previous day, and over our 2 day stay, they assisted my wife in getting ice for my leg. Eg 2: We also needed a screwdriver to remove the battery from a toy we bought (for plane travel), and the staff went out of their way to help out with it (laughing at us). The breakfast and dinner buffet had great food, and the performer at the dinner buffet also played our song requests! Great place overall, would definitely recommend.

Galle Face Hotel很好地保留了英国殖民时期的风韵，略显历史的“陈旧”感。 床很舒服，但美中不足的是沙发，沙发显然有些廉价，居然能看到座垫下的板条，哪怕是一张折叠沙发床也不应该。不过，这并不影响使用。 早餐没有评论中写的那样丰富，或许是因为之前入住的度假村要比Galle Face Hotel更高档的缘故。 泳池不大，但是躺在泳池边听着海浪看夕阳一定很不错。 全天在二楼LONG ROOM提供免费的茶点，很贴心。正好打发下午退房到去机场的几个小时时间。 二楼另一侧有展厅，有很多历史名人，尤其是英国上流社会的名人和各时期的首相，都曾下榻该酒店，给酒店做了很好的背书。展厅还展出了爱丁堡公爵，英国女王的丈夫，年轻时买的第一辆轿车。

It is a wonderful Hotel with colonial charm. The staff is very kind and helpful. I had a perfect stay there!

Overall the hotel, set out in colonial style is fantastic. The staff are amazing and always very helpful and the facilities are great (the gym is a bit dated but does the job. We were a bit disappointed to have paid extra for a sea-view room as it turned out to be smaller than a standard garden view room and also had an adjoining door to the next room which meant we could hear our neighbours. On the whole though a comfortable stay!

インド洋が目の前に広がる良い立地です。 一方、波が強く、客室の窓の防音性能が低いため、波音で眠りにくいという方もいるかもしれません。 客室の空調、シャワー等の設備は満足のいくものでした。 朝食、夕食のビュッフェは、品物によって当たり外れがありました。 また、年配のドアマンの方のサービスは、如才なく歴史あるホテルの片鱗を感じさせるものでした。 もう少しと思うところもありましたが、リーズナブな料金でしたのでバランスしているのではないでしょうか。

建物自体の雰囲気は何一つ言う事はないが、やはり歴史的建造物のため、古さは否めず、カビ臭い匂いがするし、部屋の鍵や、コンセントまわりなどいろいろと使いにくい。 今はコロンボでもいいホテルがいろいろあるので、正直、1回経験出来ればいいかなと感じている。

My favourite hotel in Colombo as its the only ocean front hotel. But the hotel must renovate whilst keeping the original features. Dining options and the ocean views are immaculate. But a general repair to fix wear and tear is a must. Room 112 was a little scary but was ok. Will be back but hope you will fix the little niggles.

Galle Face Hotel is a very good memory for our family. The staff were all kind, friendly, and cool. Breakfast was delicious with a wide variety of food served on a lovely terrace. We look forward to staying again.

This is a 160 year old hotel, and has all the charm and weight of those years, but it also has a modern and up to date feel. I loved it! Breakfast was fantastic, pool was great, room was lovely, staff were friendly and helpful. One of the nicest hotels i hink ive stayed in. Highly recommend.

Historic and timeless beauty. Service is shaky but can be forgiven because of how earnest everyone is. Service probably needs to be brought up to speed but other than that a lovely property!

For such a large hotel we were not given any information during checkin. The member of staff was too busy trying to persuade us to pay for an upgrade. As our stay was so brief it didn’t seem worth it so we politely declined which he seemed annoyed about. We were escorted to our room but still not given any logistical information - where is breakfast, how to get to the pool etc. The room was fine, we’d paid for sea view but it was more partial sea view. Despite its age the room and bathroom were immaculate. The shower was nice and big but the rainfall head didn’t seem big enough. The pressure was good though and it was not the. Ed was comfy and there were English speaking film channels on the TV. The pool was nice and the pool bar had a good range of food and drinks which were reasonably priced. The buffet breakfast was a good spread. Fruit toast and jam for vegans. A huge variety for others - English, American, continental and Sri Lankan. All staff were very friendly and courteous.

First rate updated bathroom. Room was nicely renovated. Ocean view room worth extra. Breakfast on oceanfront veranda was bliss. Walking distance to mall convenient. Air conditioning great in room. Bar restaurant also had air con. Heat at outdoor veranda oppressively hot in evening—my opinion Recommend this place highly
