The location of GSH is great; however, the room facing Galle Road could be somewhat noisy in the morning

For travelers having limited budget, GSH is preferable. Room is basic standard with towels, shampoo, water pot but no shower lotion, teeth brush and toothpaste. I lived a room faced to Galle Road. It was noisy in night. Breakfast was nothing, just some eggs, sausages, mushroom and breads. These were not worth USD 9. However, staff are nice and helpful. Its location is not near the centre of Colombo but I had many choices to take such as tuk tuk.

Great place to stay as it’s in the center of town & can easily reach other places. Customer service is excellent. We had to leave one of our suitcase with them. They kept it safe for no extra charge.

The TV picture quality was not good. Also the choice of channels were insufficient. For a person who stayed 14 nights, it was boring because this was lacking.

The place have not been maintained properly. Our previous stay a year back have been better.

As always the hotel is best for the business stays in a budget. Also exchange currency / cinemas and shopping malls are near walkable by 5-10 min. Staffs are really nice

Central location. Walking distance to restaurants, banks, shopping centers etc. Very clean lobby, elevator, room and bath room. Want to give a big shout out to Anuradha from the front desk for his courteous, professional and friendly service. Same goes for Sakunthala and Susantha.

It was a quick and easy accessible stop. If you looking for 1-3 night stay good for the bucks, this could be the spot. Washroom clean Bed clean and Comfy Friendly staff People are very helpfully outside if you ask them for direction or recommendations/ will help with smile Avoid Eating At the hotel resturant mango - too expensive but for that money, you have find a lot of great restaurants just outside across the hotel / with in 100 meters left side of the hotel.

Clean room. Easy access to city and restaurants. A bit noisy because of Galle Road.
