I would just like to thank the staff of Hotel Topaz for making our stay so comfortable! From the minute you enter the hotel the staff was always so friendly and always willing to take care of any questions we had. The housekeeping staff made sure our room was always spotless and they would go so far to make the bed in a different design every day. We were there for nine nights and so details like this were something we looked forward to and always put a smile on our faces. Special thank you to the restaurant staff - Supervisor Puspakumar is so attentive and made sure his staff were looking after the guests. Thank you to the waiters Kavindu, Sampath, and Malinda who took brilliant care of us. Also, Chef Ashitha's food is wonderful and breakfast is just fantastic at this hotel. A detail I would like to mention is that the pool facilities are being renovated however every detail was thought through and they gave us hotel transportation to and from a nearby hotel pool so that we did not miss out on swimming. Thank you Hotel Topaz and I so look forward to returning!

This hotel is totally out of my expected. All the staff there are really friendly. Restaurant serve tasty food with a good view. My friend and I enjoyed our stay there so much. I will choose the same hotel if i go there again.

I made a reservation for Hotel Topaz in NV , USA. When í checked in, reservation was for Hotel Topaz in Sri Lanka. BIG MISTAKE!!!!

The property is high on the hill so had beautiful views from our room and from the restaurant and roof terrace.
Very nice pool but lots of steps down to it so we used it less than we normally would have.
Not an easy trip into Kandy town, we would walk down but would always get a tuk-tuk back as it was so hilly.

Et flott utsiktshotell med en fantastisk utsikt. Ligger litt langt fra sentrum. Hotellet er godt brukt, litt slitent. De har god service og er vennlige. Vi var litt uheldige med aircondition på rommet, men det resulterte i oppgradering til et stort flott rom. Badebassenget var bra. Hotellet er ypperlig for familie og eller flere som reiser sammen. Som par kan det bli litt langt fra sentrum om man ønsker å oppleve noe av kveldslivet i Kandy - men det er mulig met TUK TUK.

L'hôtel se trouve sur les hauteurs, la vue est belle, par contre loin du centre et difficile d'accès sans un moyen de transport. Le déjeuner n'est pas très bon ni appétissant, même si il y le choix.

A very nice hotel on top of a hill with a stunning view. 10-15 min walk from hustle and bustle of Kandy, which is a bonus. Smooth check in which was important after a long flight and a long taxi ride from the airport to Kandy. Staff very helpful and attentive, a huge comfy clean room with a nice view. Breakfast buffet highly recommended: a very good variety of food (including English and Asian), very good quality, very tasty. We have also tried their buffet and were not disappointed. The hotel has also a nice pool area with a pool bar. This hotel was a pleasant surprise. Advertised on Hotels.com as 3* but I think it is 4* Highly recommended.

Arrived at the hotel in mid afternoon and received a warm welcome. The hotel is challenging to find but the location views when inside the hotel are so great. We enjoyed the use of the SPA there and being a hotel.com we got 50% of the fees instead of the standard discount which was nice. The only thing which was lacking was the disappointing food in the restaurant and at breakfast. Maybe not as well suited for westerners but that was my only criticism. Also we got a late check out so enjoyed the pool for a little longer.

Guests should not use even room numbers and at the beginning of corridor. Use rooms on level 3 with 317 onwards. Corridor and room doors are very badly soundproofed. In morning all shuttle cars and minubuses come, you can not open window, airpolution and noise. Hotel is used by asian Tour operators, which start arround 7am.
Attention in expedia booking it is mentioned extra bed per stay but hotel want to charge per night for kid. Accommodation for drivers costs extra other hotels offer free.
