马里山旅馆

I booked this hotel because it said breakfast was included and it seemed a simple but well located property. I was wrong. They did not honor the “breakfast included” promised. The guy who received me upon arrival could not speak even a little English. There is no restaurant near this place, so prepare to walk a lot or pay for transport. When you arrive, by the door opening I was already sneezing due to the mold smell. In the bathroom, the drain for the shower is in The opposite wall and is a whole on the floor, so expect the whole bathroom to be flooded by the end of it. I would not come again and there are LOTS of hotels and inns in this town, so there’s a lot o other to choose from.

It was well suited for what we needed. They were very friendly and helpful, arranged a tuk tuk for us from the train station at a good rate. It was nice having a roku in our room, though the internet was a bit slow (not the fault of MMI, seems to be an issue throughout Sri Lanka). I would happily recommend a stay here.

Great service. The manager went above and beyond to help me plan both my daytrips (tea factories, Ramboda Falls and Horton Plains) and my ongoing journey from Nuwara Eliya. The hotel had the most comfortable beds I've come across during my 2 weeks in the country. Coffee available in the kitchen at every hour of the day. The front gate is closed at 10pm but they always check every guest is accounted for. Highly recommended!

Propriétaire très sympathique très accueillant et très attentionné. Une guesthousetres jolie simple et très appreciable. Nurawa Élya est une ville pleine de charme avec son empreinte anglaise.

We had a good stay at this hotel. The view is absolutely spectacular and the best thing about the hotel. The staff is very nice and friendly as well and get you whatever you need. The room was comfortable, but not very clean and nice to be in. Luckily every room has a private patio with a table and chairs and some lounge seats outside that looks out on the mountains. Very comfortable to sit here! Breakfast was ok. We got eggs, toast and some fruit. The hotel is a bit pricey for what you get, but it's worth the view! Location is good, very close to everything. Just be prepared to walk up and down a very steep hill;)
