After reading other reviews and looking at pictures, we were very disappointed by our stay here. Upon arrival at the property, we had to wait to be greeted. When We walked into the property, all of the curtains were shut, and it was very dark and had a strange vibe. When we were shown to our room, it was in a bleak state. The bathroom needed repair and overall the room was not clean. I had to plug my charger in under the bed and you could tell that it had not been cleaned properly in a long time. We were only given one towel and there was no toilet roll. the view out of the window is onto a balcony filled with lots of junk. I did not find the hosts helpful and struggled to get into town due to no wifi and bad service. I asked if they could arrange a tuk tuk to take us but this wasn’t offered and luckily I got enough 4G for an uber. The radio was played all day and all night so I woke in the night because of this. we didn’t even sleep under the covers because we didn’t feel that it would be clean enough . in the morning, We went to leave around 8:30 however, there was no one to be found so we unlocked the external gates ourselves and left. This is such a shame because from other reviews, it seems that people have had a great stay here with welcoming hosts and I can see that the property has potential however we definitely would not recommend it in its current state.

Our overall experience at The Mango was quite positive. The facilities look very nice, our room was clean, staff is friendly and helpful and we had a great dinner on our last night. The only drawback was that it was noisy. When people sit in the restaurant area having a little party, it is difficult to nót be bothered by that when you have a room towards the back of the hotel. So bring your earplugs! Still a great place for backpackers.

Value for money and friendly staff. Only the accomodation is very far from the town nd the route to it is very dangerous and steep.

Amazing location with incredible views. Rooms were fine and breakfast included. Thanks for having us!
