Good value for money and close to main road and railway.

Wij verbleven in een van de suites op de tweede verdieping - heerlijk ruime kamer en badkamer. Mooie groene plek, waar we ons erg thuis voelden. Het aardige personeel droeg daar ook zeker aan bij!

No WiFi in room  Food served with hair and salty, however our waiter Suzee has been excellent and has turned tge bad experience jnto somthing memorable. He is an asset to this hotel. Passengers train going through the compound day and night. Yes you have heard it correctly.  No do not disturb sign so get knocked regularly by staff to check if you had ordered beer etc... Set this aside the beach is excellent, however very dirty which was a put off. Would i return no.

Awesome location, friendly staff (esp. Sumundu), resonable pricing incl. half-board. Even the old fashioned tube tv and the loud A/C still makes this a recommendation. The railway between hotel is very special...

We have stayed at the Wunderbar hotel 5 times over the years . It just keeps drawing us back. We love the location ,the food and the friendly helpful staff . The train that passes the restaurant just adds to the character of this gem of a hotel !

Wunderbar Beach Hotel is a very nice hotel in an excellent location, right on the beach. All the staff were very friendly and helpful and it was kept very clean. Breakfast was very good and SuzieLee was an excellent waiter. Unfortunately dinner wasn’t particularly good and it’s a little way into town.

My daughter and I had a great week at Wunderbar Hotel and decided to spend a few more days because we loved the beach and setting so much. The staff was extremely helpful, arranged pretravel Covid testing, and airportbtransfer for us. We always felt safe on the beach and property, there was a staff member on duty at the beach every day, and plenty of lounge chairs, beach towels and umbrellas to stay comfortable. I would definitely return!

Staff are fantastic. They go out of their way to help. Their attitude really made our stay most enjoyable and I would return.

The hotel room is very spacious, but the railway became extremely busy during my stay. The railway is located right next to the beach and the train turned into a live water monitor. The hotel stay was restless and exhausting. Even when I left the hotel, their taxi driver also play tricks by skipping from the express highway. It seemed that sth. was going on there like the mania from the new year event.

The location was excellent. Just by the beach. The staff is friendly. The room was huge and clean.

A decent stay. not the best in Sri Lanka. Location is amazing. Everything else is just okay.

Good location close to beach. Nice spacious rooms. Comfy beds. Huge balcony. Restaurant a little pricey. We were asked to move rooms part waY through stay as hotel had overbooked.

Train is just next to the room, can't sleep. I already paid for 2 nights, didn't know that train is so close. Bad luck the 2nd night is new year's eve, I lost over USD 200+ ......
