I regret that I did not have a chance to try out the restaurant, and the in-room capsule coffeemaker was not a success, but the internet connection was good, the room was quiet, and the hotel itself was in an excellent location, especially for St. Jakob Stadium. Check-in and check out were very quick, and I paid extra for a balcony, which was well worth the money. It was a great place to relax and have some coffee, and the nice accordion glass doors and windows sealed out the noise at night. Nearby grocery stores, cafes, a bakery, a handy mini-mart, and easy access to trams downtown. I walked to the stadium in 20 minutes along the little river.
I travel with a dog, and we were glad there was a lift in the building. There is a fee of 15 CHF per night for a dog, which I think is a bit steep, but I understand that we are all paying for all the dogs that may or may not be well behaved in hotels.

Es war etwas eng im Zimmer. Die Dusche ist leider nicht komplett abgedichtet, sodass nach dem duschen das komplette Badezimmer 2 cm unter Wasser stand. Frühstück war frisch und lecker. Die Mitarbeiter waren stets freundlich.

There was no air conditioning so we had to have the window open and contend with the noise of the traffic outside. The double bed was against a wall so you either had to climb over the other person or crawl down the bed to get out. There was no bar or sitting area. The room, albeit small, was clean. There was a coffee machine in the room which is ok but a kettle would have been better as my wife can’t drink coffee.

For the first time we have been in Basel and we were looking for a one night hotel with my family, Alfa Hotel is among the best for that purpose because it is more economic than other hotels, so you can choose if your goal is that one; on the other hand the service is not proportionate with the price (it is not only for this hotel, it is generally in Switzerland), also the breakfast was 19€ per person which is really expensive be careful (again it is not only for this hotel, it is general in Switzerland); the hotel is not close to the centre by walking but they are giving public transport chances which I havent seen for other cities-hotels thanks for this kind thought, for cleaning and comfort point of view there were no problems everything was fine for one night stay, thanks for your hospitality

Prima hotel voor één pitstop richting Italië. Ideale locatie en gratis parkeren. Tramhalte precies voor het hotel en stop midden in het centrum. Goed geslapen, fijne bedden en schoon.

Väldigt trevligt litet hotell av äldre modell men med bra fuktionalitet och trevliga rum, väldigt rent och fint.
Vänlig personal när jag behövde hjälp både dag och natt. En riktig liten pärla i Basel för jobbresor. Kommer att bo här i januari också för nästa kvaltävling.

Gut gelegen. Freundliches Personal. Frühstück wurde extra früher angeboten weil die meisten Gäste inkl. Uns an einer Veranstaltung teilgenommen haben. Es gab Zettel mit Wegbeschreibung und Karte welche Busse man nehmen kann.
