It is a bit far from the Basel train station but the tram number 8 can take you nearby, hotel host upgraded my room to a bigger size on top floor, while you cannot imagine it is a big hotel from outside, good bathroom with enough hot and water pressure, easy to reach most of the Basel old town attractions

Good location

Close to the city centre, shops. Market place too not big and will close at around 2pm. Free mobility ticket given by hotel. City tax CHF3.50/person hv to pay. Aircon ok set at 23 degree.

Great staff No A/C

The check-in staff were incredibly kind and welcoming!

Beautiful building and very clean. Extremely expensive hotel for what you get. The beds are small and the duvet is even too small for the small bed. I kind of expected more at this price.

Good area, very good but small staff. Excellent breakfasts and 24 hour coffee bar. Two min walk to Rhine active area, 5 min walk to Coop market

Front desk lady is stressed

Especially the breakfast is very nice. Good location and reasonable price.

We were staying just one night, so we were not that concerned with the hotel. The person at the front desk when we checked in told us that we could not park where we had found a place. She said we needed to park in an area that seemed to be a bit far away. We checked where were parked, and it was clearly stated that we did not have to pay after 7:00 p.m., but the front desk person said that was not correct. We parked there anyway, and we were not charged after 7:00 pm. The room was very clean. The night shift person who was at the front desk was very helpful. The room was very clean. However, although a hair dryer was provided, there was no mirror anywhere near where the outlet for the dryer was, and so it was difficult to dry my hair without looking in a mirror. Also, it was not mentioned in the reviews that I read but even though there was an elevator, there were numerous steps both up and down to get to my room, which was supposed to be on the first floor. This was a bit tricky with luggage.

Great location in old city. Walking distance from train station. Staff was super friendly and helpful. Room was large and comfy

The layout of the hotel is rather unconventional (getting to our room involved some stairs, 2 different lifts and a bit of a walk!) but our room was spacious and comfortable, with the slight caveat that our shower was terrible. It severely lacked power and the rainfall shower head didn’t work at all. For two women with long hair this wasn’t ideal and for that reason I am glad we only stayed for 2 nights. We found the location of the hotel very convenient, quiet and safe. We didn’t have breakfast so can’t comment on that. There was free tea, coffee and hot chocolate available between 11am and 9pm.

The room is spacieuse and clean, exactly what we need. The location is excellent.

We had a wonderful time at this hotel! The room was exceptional and the breakfast was fantastic! The location is perfect! There were just a couple of smaller problems such as empty shampoo bottle in shower and very small beds. Also, the staff is efficient and helpful but not friendly or welcoming.

Great hotel. Fab breakfast. Only negative… 3/4th beds in 4 bedroom room were not wonderful- even for teens.
