Geneva is an extremely expensive country, so I got what I could afford, which was this hostel. But you get what you pay for - in a hostel, people are constantly coming in and out of the rooms. Each floor had one big washroom for women with 3 showers and 2 toilets (only one of which was accessible to everyone). This meant waiting a long time to use the toilet, sometimes. The bathrooms could have been cleaner but I guess that is also part of staying in a hostel, lots of people using them.
There are lockers outside of the rooms where you can fit your luggage and use your key card to access the locker, so no need to bring your own lock.
There is no air conditioning in the rooms which made it dreadfully hot. So hot that we would sleep with the window wide open every night. I ended up leaving because it was just too much during the Europe heatwave.
Free continental breakfast is nice - cereal, yogurt, toast, croissants, coffee, juice.
The location is also nice, within walking distance to amenities and Lake Geneva. A 5 minute walk to the tram which can get you everywhere.
