The hotel is right by the station which is very handy for a multi centre holiday and it is very central for everything you may want to do in Bern. The staff were very helpful and pleasant. The roof terrace is beautiful and the rooms are really well equipped really comfy beds and brilliant showers. We didn’t eat at the restaurant so can’t comment on that, breakfast was 40 chf per head which seemed a lot so we used local cafes instead. There was also a 200 chf deposit per night … we were there 3 nights and had 2 rooms so 1200 chf and that was unexpected and seemed steep but it was returned within a couple of days of us leaving- something to be prepared for from a cashflow point of view.

Staying there for 8 nights, generally speaking it is good. (clean, quiet, near train station, old town, supermarket …etc.)
But the steam bath is quite disappointing!
Free minibar is highlighted when we checked in, but during my 8-night stay,for 4 days, I had to call and wait for more than 20 minutes for it to be refilled( we just consumed 2 or 3 bottles of juice every days). It is not a big deal, but it is not the service expected from a 5-star hotel in Bern Swizterland!

We have multiple rooms for our privacy. We also have a nice view and it's a non-smoking area. Rooms are very spacious and clean. Everything we need, we have it. It's very comfy! Staff were very friendly, very professionals. All the tourist spots are walking distance. We get to enjoy walking. Weather is good too!

The staff was very professional and kind. The location is excellent, and the facilities are very clean and well-appointed. I didn't care for the chandeliers in the room that could not be turned off. The staff was unable to determine how we could just use the lamps in the room without overhead lighting. It was a minor annoyance, but prevents me from awarding five stars.

The hotel rooms were great and luxuries. The staff was very helpful and did everything to ensure that we had a great stay. The only issue was the AC, it did not blow any cold air and the thermostat in the room did not want to go below 20 degrees. Switzerland was having a heat wave so it would have been nice to cool off in the room.

Air conditioning was terrible, shower area smells of sewage. Was assured by supervisor a portable air conditioner would be sent to our room but it never arrived. The service on the 6th floor bar was terrible and slow. The bathroom single sink has VERY little counter space and made it difficult to get ready in the morning. Jack’s Steakhouse was about empty at 7:00 pm and the prices were very high.

All staffs are helpful and kind. The room was exceptionally well maintained and clean. We spent a very happy night in this hotel. One minor issue was during a shower, splashing water came out of the shower door and creating a small pool out side of shower room. Other than everything was excellent.
