Can’t complain - decent stay Room was a bit spooky but that’s part of the charm Very very clean and food was lovely, too.

So close to train station and buses, yet quiet. Excellent dinner! Be prepared for shared bathrooms/showers. Very very clean! Lovely place.

My week’s stay at Kloster was truly “a home away from home”. Staff were helpful, it was warm, spacious and historically characterful. The shared bathrooms were hygienic and well equipped. The view from my room of the Gampen was very pleasant and most importantly, the bed was perfect! Thank you.

If you don’t prefer a private bathroom this is a very nice place. It’s roomy, very clean and nice staff. And for Switzerland a very low price for all the convenience

The hotel did not offer any ensuite facilities. Shower facilities were on each floor but took a while to find as signage was not clear. Very vlean facilities throughout. I would stay again.

Conveniently located next to the train station.

Truly different type of stay in a monastery. Rooms are spartan but clean, no tv, shared toilet and showers in the corridor. Good restaurant and location right by the train station

Lovely location and interesting building, comfy beds.

Very different from the usual hotel stay; no TV or other electronics to disturb you and the church bells at 07:00 is a great way to wake up. The shared bathrooms made me a bit apprehensive, but once I saw the bathrooms, I found them to be private and very clean. The staff are very friendly and the atmosphere is very unique. I highly recommend staying at the hotel, which is very close to the train station and thus easy to reach from Basel SBB. The hotel is much prettier than shown in the thumbnail, so give it a go.

This place is the most affordable by on of my workplaces. It is very budget friendly but did not include a private bathroom for the lowest cost room. I was okay with that though. Nearby is lots of pretty nature for jogging etc.

What a beautiful place. The garden was something special to visit after work. Maybe not for everyone because of the shared bathroom but the price matched the amenities. The staff was also very helpful and accommodated my later arrival.

Kloster Dornach is not for everyone as the bathrooms are shared, but the building, garden, and location are all amazing.

Set in an old Monestry rooms are basic, no curtains, bed fantastic shared shower however good value for money and nice restaurant lovely staff!

Great bedssss pity no en suite especially if you need to go in the night. Nice breakfast

The Kloster is a sweet, lovely place to stay. The staff are welcoming, warm and kind. The breakfast was delicious. I appreciated the simple understated beauty and elegance of the space and it's surrounding gardens.

This hotels is very nice option for various reasons - the price/quality ratio is very good, also not hard to park plus public transport is also nearby. Very recommended for people who has a reason to travel to nearby places, but also OK for people whose target is city center but without no hurry.
