Holiday Inn Express TAOYUAN, an IHG Hotel

Very good buffet breakfasts with a variety of dishes which were changed up daily. The staff were very helpful and nice.

Perfect hotel for our one night stay. Front desk staff was welcoming and quickly told us everything we needed to know. Room was very clean, and bed was quite comfortable. Coffee and water (both hot and cold) were available in the breakfast area 24 hours a day. Hotel was about a 30+ min drive to TPE airport in morning rush hour traffic. Hotel close to 7-11 and a Domino’s Pizza as well which worked for a quick dinner.

I had a very brief, but wonderful stay at the Holiday Inn Express Taoyuan. I had arrived early to Taoyuan at 11AM, and although the official check-in time is at 3PM, the recepcionist (Ann, I think was her name) was kind enough to check with housekeeping to corroborate if a room was ready so that I could have an early check-in. Fortune was on my side and I had a quick and easy early check-in. The breakfast area is small, but offers a variety of Taiwanese and Western food items, with beverages like tea and coffee and some cookies available 24/7. If you are looking for a meal, nearby you will find restaurants (there is a Japanese grill right across the street) and the always trusty 7 Eleven. Carrefour is also some blocks away. The room was spacious enough for my stay, the bathroom (with bidet) and shower clean, and the shower also has a line to hang your clothing if you decide to wash it. If you are gym rat, the hotel's fitness room is located on the second floor, but you won't find much equipment inside the small room: a treadmill, a stationary bike, a pair of light dumbbells, a grip trainer, a lacrosse massage ball, a mat, plenty of bottled water, towels, bathroom, and shower. Not sure if they have another fitness room for another guest to work out at the same time. The staff at the front desk and at the breakfast service was kind and attentive. They even helped me call a taxi to the airport. Overall I would recommend this hotel to friends.
