Generally okay! It's cheap so you pay for what you get. I got the upper bunk bed which made my life more miserable because I can't access my bags easily, but it's expected.

Convenient place to stay in, easy access to the MRT station.

The staff are really helpful and can communicate in english. I arrived around 4am and there is still someone who will assist you with the check in. The pod was spacious enough and you have a spacious storage that locks itself when the keycard is not inserted. And most importantly, Japanese bidet. Will definitely stay here again! XIE XIE

The hostel is located 5min walking distance from Taiwan central station, which is the hub for high speed train, local train and subway. We arrived closed to mid night, the streets were quiet with only few places still open for food. We walked around and felt safe. The staff in the hostel is on duty 24h and all the facilities worked well. We had a room for 3 of us, it has a bunk king bed, the standing area was very small, but the beds were big and comfy. The showers, washrooms and kitchen are clean seems all the time. They also have designed area only for women. The free coffee is delicious. They provide toast, jams as simple breakfast. There are so many street food around the hostel for breakfast choices. Overall, we are happy with this place and would like to recommend it to people travel on budget.

I was in Taipei for a very short layover and wanted a place that was cheap, conveniently located, near transit, allowed for late check-ins (my flight landed after 10pm), and that would hold my luggage for a few hours while I ran around trying to take in a few sites. The Taiwan Youth Hostel & Capsule hotel exceeded my expectations!!! It did all that - it’s literally within a couple of blocks of one of the exits for the Main Station - but was quiet too! I actually managed to get some decent sleep for the 5 hours that I was there!

I stayed in a single room and appreciated the extra privacy, while still saving on cost compared to a regular hotel. The shared bathrooms are also cleaned regularly, which helped me to feel comfortable and at home.

It was very clean and well maintained. Staff was kind and friendly. There's lounge and kitchen so it's convenient, and shared shower and toilet were also clean. Location is really good too.

This hostel is very conveniently located near Taipei Main station. You can go any points of interest in Taipei from here, easily. The staff are friendly and considerately. We saw a receptionist named Albert every day during our stay. He has been taking great care of the facility and fulfill our requests nicely. I have a special thank for him. The only bad part of this hostel is that the room is really small. However, considering, the price we paid and the location, it is hard to complain about that.

This was definitely one of the better hostels I've stayed in. I like that the bathroom facilities had a private section which includes both toilet n shower or separate amenities. I was also pleasantly suprise that the individual toilets have a spray as well as a bidet. The bed was comfy and clean though i did caught a couple of mosiquitos in space i was in the first night. Other than that, the place was convenient; family mart was next door and the police station was 2 doors away. overall a comfy stay. would definiately stay there again.

Spacious common area

This was my first experience in a capsule hotel and I really enjoyed it. The "capsule" was like a small bedroom. It had a locker behind the bed, a mirror, and a nightstand of sorts. The only thing I hated was the type of slippers they gave everyone. They are large and make a loud slapping noise when you walk, so I was kept awake because of the slippers slapping the floor. The facility was really clean with nice showers. The staff was really helpful and nice in answering my questions and they got me a taxi. The kitchen area is also nice and clean. They provide free detergent with the laundry. This hostel is a little bit quiet though for how easy it is to interact with people. When I was there, they didn't have any events, but it seems like they possible host events as they had band gear out in the main area set up.

Place is clean, staffs were helpful and nice, around 5 mins walk to MRT station. Overall a good experience staying here!

The place is very near the Taipei Central Station. This time, I used here to take a nap before the flight. It was good enough for that.

This is my second stay! Love the location- near M8 exit (bannan line): convenient to all transits to airport via train, HSR to other parts of Taiwan, links to underground shopping malls. But if u are a light sleeper, u might need to reconsider to stay here. Need ear plugs.

The bedroom setup is thoughtful (eg. equipped with personal mirror, slipper, multi-socket, wall-mounted clothes hanger) and spacious for an individual stay. The ventilation is good. They provide various toilet amenities that is ready for the guests' convenience.
