I like the location and convenience of Howard Plaza. I think the price is right . The room is clean and service is great! If I visit Taipei again I would choose this hotel.

Friendly staff

The area surrounding the hotel is clean, and we had no concerns about safety or security. There are lots of fantastic shopping and dining options within walking distance. Transit is easy to access and navigate from the property. Taxi service is always ready and waiting at the entrance. Highly recommend this location for international travellers looking for a home base while visiting Taipei.

We chose this hotel to reminisce our stay in 2011 when we brought our kids to visit Taiwan for the first time. While the grandeur of the hotel is still evident, it does feel a bit dated. However, the hospitality services, from check-in to the bell captain and concierge desk, were exceptional and showcased their professionalism. The location is great - I would definitely return.

The location of the hotel is convenient, near to 3 MRT stations and in a safe area. Not so crowded, too. The room we were given is big, clean, and very cozy. Though the bathroom’s a bit small, it’s clean and stocked with bath essentials and toiletries. But what really made us enjoy the hotel are staff — they were really great and helpful, specially Rene the receptionist and the room attendant! They even offered us to check-in early since the room is already vacant. It is very much appreciated, Ms. Rene!

Close to 101 buildings

Incredible space that is very well taken care of. Staff is welcoming, friendly, and accommodating. The pool is amazing, I’m giving this place a perfect 5 star rating because that pool is incredible and the restaurant right beside it is also superb. You can eat delicious gourmet food poolside in the middle of Taipei city. The staff is also very easy to get along with and they treat foreigners very well.

The waiter at the lobby bar wouldn’t let me sit with my family because I didn’t order a welcome bar drink.

The hotel and rooms are tired and totally outdated. No modern amenities, plugs for charging electronic devices, complicated lights and terrible room layout. Skip this hotel as there are plenty of better options in Taipei. I would never recommend this hotel…at any price.

Tha staff in the front desk and concierge are nice and helpful.

The room was spacious, comfortable, and clean. Appreciated the complimentary water and soda. Really enjoyed the breakfast buffet and its array of food choices. The gym/sauna facilities need to be updated.
