It was cool. Not the best, too many kids for my liking but that’s my personal preference. Outside of that no complaints.

The staff are amazing, always willing to help. Special mention to Georgina in the dining room - your smile and welcoming disposition always kickstart my day.

I had a great experience! 1000/10. I would highly recommend Rui Jambo to friends/ family. The bartenders make great drinks. The food is delicious and the views are amazing. The beaches are a bit crowded but you get over it.

We had such a lovely stay - the room and view were incredible and the beach was like paradise. The staff could not have been friendlier, and the restaurants and food were outstanding.

This property was clean and offered various dining options. While I did not utilize the restaurants that required reservations, I did use the main dining option (Maisha, I believe). After a few days, I was tired of the food. In my opinion, every buffet should have chicken, and I did not see chicken on every lunch and dinner buffet. Also, the flies were all over foods that were not hot (some fruit and other room temperature items such as bread). I threw one piece of bread out due to the flies. They should invest in the food umbrellas that can cover food from flies. There were several pools and, of course, access to the beach. Since it is now the rainy season, I did not see any activities advertised for children during the rain. Also, the tiles around the hotel, especially on the stairs, were extremely dangerous when wet. There were no handrails, and the tiles were very slippery. I almost fell a few times. Finally, some staff did not speak much English. I asked one staff member in the restaurant if I could have an egg white omelet, and after several attempts, he still did not understand my request. All that said, I would stay again, but not during the rainy season.

Excellent stay

Disappointed that from the moment we arrived we were told varying information regarding the 3 all inclusive bookable restaurants in the hotel. First it was wait until 3pm, then wait until 4pm, then the app is closed for today try at 7am tomorrow, then the restaurants are closed some days due to low season. Had we known this when booking we would have chosen differently. We were not able to go to any of the restaurants during our stay; Yunnan was close every night, we saw Kulinarium and Il Panzotto once once each with less than 50% of the seats taken. We had to eat at the buffet each night which was fine but very repetitive. Another small annoyance was that we requested a late check out but were told to come to reception on the checkout day to find out if we could have it (which we could not). The facilities were great, room, pool and beach were lovely. Staff were very friendly but the systems seemed outdated and they all had different information.

The staff were all lovely, friendly and helpful. Plenty of pool choice. Plenty of loungers around the pool. Beach loungers get taken very quickly. Sea is amazing and warm. Food plenty of choice, though wasn't always hot! Always some where to sit. The two restaurants in the sea were a faff to book and we gave up in the end. Snack bar during the day on the beach was great though got busy at times. Lots of power cuts. Staff were amazing when my mother was taken ill, they were very helpful. Nothing was too much trouble. Rooms were kept clean and tidy everyday by house keeping. Loved the floral touches on the bed. There are loads and loads of stairs just to warn those with disabilities or walking issues. There are lifts but depending on where your room is you may have to walk a fair distance to get to the lifts. The beach sellers are a nightmare but as long as you are polite but firm you will be ok, does get frustrating though just to get into the sea. There's a souvenir market just up the beach worth a look and remember to barter with the sellers. The building site next door is extremely loud but you only hear this whilst on the beach and some pools. You do get use to the noise. It isn't constant. All in all we had an amazing holiday. I would happily return. Oh and the sea view from the room was amazing.

The beaches, the vegatation

If you like large resorts, you will enjoy RIU Jambo. The food at the buffet and the drinks were very good. The bartenders were all friendly, especially at the swim up bar. The beach is beautiful and the warm ocean is very swimmable. We appreciated being able to find beach and pool chairs to use. My only disappointment was we stayed for three nights and were only able to make reservations at one of the two specialty restaurants that wasn’t a buffet - even though I logged on immediately after arriving in the early afternoon.

All good except for good just medium

Very nice all inclusive resort, employees are super nice and cleaning service is good and punctual. We spent an amazing week in Zanzibar.

Beautiful

I really loved how beautiful the property was and as a solo traveler , I felt very safe. I will say though they need to have better food offerings that cater to more people . I felt the food was bland so it was hard to enjoy but the place was so nice and luxurious.

It was a great place with wonderful staffs..

I’m so happy I decided to spend my 30th Birthday here!! Everyone was so nice and showed great hospitality! Irene the front desk staff was so sweet and accommodating. The food at the main restaurant was pretty good and I didn’t even bother trying out the other two restaurants. I will definitely be returning!!
