Jättetrevlig personal överlag! Var en receptionist som var otrevlig samt en kille på stranden som var på oss hela tiden. Missade även ala våra samtal och meddelanden om Airport-transfer, och försökte skylla det på oss. Annars bra!

Great place to stay. Service at the bar was great. The young men who assist with the baggage were awesome and very helpful.

Service un peu approximatif, mais chambre très propre, spacieuse, quelques coupures de courant le soir mais je ne sais pas à quoi cela était dû. La wifi extrement nulle. Les repas du soir et petit dej très corrects. Une bonne expérience, la plage est magnifique, transats pour tout le monde.

L'hôtel est situé en bord de mer. Le village est facile d'accès à pied La restauration est bonne et variée.

Abbiamo soggiornato al Sunset Kendwa per 2 notti con sola colazione inclusa. Struttura molto bella, curata e accogliente. Camere molto pulite e confortevoli, anche l’aria condizionata funziona perfettamente. Cibo buono, con molta varietà a colazione, da segnalare l’estrema lentezza del servizio pranzo, nonostante sia una struttura grande con la presenza di molti camerieri. Inoltre una sera ci siamo presentati alle 22:30 per poter mangiare qualcosa ma ci è stato detto che non era possibile nonostante la chiusura del ristorante fosse alle 23 (essendo Kendwa una zona tranquilla non abbiamo trovato nessun altro posto per mangiare). Fantastica la possibilità per i clienti di usufruire dei lettini direttamente in spiaggia. Per concludere, ci torneremmo e consigliamo assolutamente di alloggiare in questa struttura

Kendwa Sunset is very well located by a beautiful beach. Hotel is well kept and with a cosy feel. Green garden feel in first part of the hotel and beach vibe at the bungalows located as an extended part of the beach. Room was good with nice beds, clean and with nice size bathroom. Beach area is large with more space between chairs than many other hotels. Pool had great clear view over the beach and ocean. All this would give a 9-10 rating. However service was clearly the worst we experienced among the 5 places we visited in Zanzibar. Seemed to be a mix of Language challenges, care and pure skills. So bring a lot of patience and Hakuna Matata in order for it not to destroy your experience. During 4 days (ehere we also ate elsewhere) we experienced a meal that did not arrive until we were ready to pay, rarely being able to order what we preferred (more than other places) but the challenge was not so much ‘sold out/not in stock’ but lack of knowledge among servants on what was available so ordering was a cumbersome and time consuming process, incorrect order when food arrived and attempt to make us order things we did not want ‘because we have already put x in the system so could you not have y instead’. Likewise for beach towels where ‘sold out/not available right now and not able to find out when we could get a towel or if we could use our rooms towels instead until we went to the reception. However the day the little lady in the restaurant was in, all went smooth 😀

I absolutely loved my stay. It was spacious with beautiful palm trees at the lower area where my room was. English breakfast was served and the food orders took max 30 minutes. It was quiet, serene and the beach beds were not as crowded as the neighboring hotels. It has the best beach area that forms a beautiful pool during the high tide and it was never crowded. Staff were very helpful and payments were paid with card or cash in USD and TZS conveniently. WiFi was a bit weak in the room but overall was accessible across the property and beach area. The room was big enough with all amenities. Pictures don’t do justice to this beautiful and leafy hotel. Will definitely return!

We had a great holiday, thank you to all friendly and good people at Kendwa. This beach hotel Is a little paradise. The restaurant is at the beach- you dine and watch the waves and boats. The beach life is colorful and interesting; acrobats perform, people passing by, also some sellers but everybody is respectful, without pressure! The days at the beach were peaceful and nice. The area of Kendwa Hotel is great, Sand and many Palm trees. Very peaceful and clean place. Wifi mainly in the restaurant area.Most delicious is the food. We had half board and got a buffet dinner quite many times. The food was really delicious. People from other hotels came for dinner to Kendwa. The staff is always helpful- Zena and her team: asante sana! We highly recommend this hotel.

Uppskattade att hotellet låg vid stranden och hade ett fint hotellområde med tre pooler och gym. Hotellet hade en mycket bra frukostbuffé. Det jag upplevde mindre bra var utbudet av mat för lunch och middag när vi inte hade valt till lunch- och middagspaketet. Hotellet ligger lite utanför Nungwi och vägen dit på kvällen kändes lite osäker att gå när det är mörkt.

Amazing beach

It' was beautiful. Food and drink was superb beach was outstanding. Staff were polite and attentive. A must see if in Zanzibar. Recently renovated pool area.

Das Areal des Hotels ist wirklich WUNDERSCHÖN mit den vielen Palmen und der direkten Strandlage. Ich habe es geliebt aus unserem Beach Bungalow rauszugehen und direkt auf Sand zu sein. Für unseren Urlaub hat es so absolut ausgereicht, um eine schöne Zeit zu haben. Das Personal war immer sehr bemüht, aber teilweise etwas planlos und vergesslich, was wir ihnen aber nicht übel genommen haben. Die Umgebung des Hotels ist leider sehr arm und für Alleingänge nur bei Tageslicht sicher.

We stayed in one of the bungalows close to the beach, which I would highly recommend. The rooms up near the reception would require walking a steep set of stairs each time you wanted to use the pool, beach, bar or restaurant. Our bungalow was very nice with a front porch to sit on. The front desk staff was helpful with arranging boat tours and taxis. The beach in front of the resort is beautiful and very swimmable. There are great shaded chairs and beds to use while lounging near the beach. The swimming pool was large enough, but could use better maintenance. Many tiles are missing and the stairs do not have a handrail. I slipped on the slippery tiled steps and injured my head and leg.

Enjoyed my stay

Oj vilket ställe! Vilken service nere på stranden och i restaurangen. Läget är perfekt, stranden är magisk. Det enda vi hade nån synpunkt på var att kanske lite mer kryddning i maten (och lite för stora portioner), samt att de låter gäster ”paxa” solstolar en halv dag innan dom kommer och nyttjar dom. Samt att wifi är väldigt svajigt. Annars är vi så nöjda att vi faktiskt ändrade om vårt sista hotell och ska bo vår sista natt hos dom igen. Magiskt!

Rooms need to be checked before check in . My room phone did not work so could not inform them of other things missing not working right away. Safe not working, AC not working for hours one day, missing no disturb sign. Needs a bedside lamp very dark at night. Hot water only last 5 mins. Love the property but these aould be easily fixed if checked

Nos dieron una habitación que no correspondía a lo que se había pagado, encima no tenia agua caliente y el aire esrtaba malo, fue muy difícil para que nos cambiaran de habitación

Terrible el trato, la habitación no le servía ni el aire ni tenía agua caliente, habíamos escogido la más cara y fue una decepción y costo mucho que nos cambiaran a otra habitación, que tampoco fue la que habíamos pagado,

Buen desayuno. Buena estancia en general.
