Ananda Lanta Resort

The WI-FI is abysmal at this hotel. There is a lot of building work going on opposite the hotel. Another large apartment block or hotel is under construction. A lot of noise from 7-30am until 6pm.

Enjoyed the stay very much. The coffee and service was nice. The pool area needs more shade. Our shower in the room was always cool.

Quiet hotel with excellent pool. Though the property was a bit tired, the service of the staff more than made up for it. Wonderful service from every staff member.

I was surprised by how spacious and nicely appointed the room was. The staff was great and the location was conveniently set back from the main beach road. I was happy with my stay and felt it was a good value. I would stay again. My only criticism is with regard to the scooter rental agency they use. Without going into details I would recommend using one of the many other options available within a short walk.

Had a fantastic time in Lanta and thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The staff was friendly and helpful. With their help, we were able to rent a scooter for our stay on the island. Our room was clean and comfortable, and very well located to some great restaurants and a great spot to view the sunset.

I stay there for two nights Jan 12-14,2017. Check in was smoothly and staff are friendly. Special mention is Anee at the front desk is very helpful! Thanks. Room is comfortable and the king size bed is firm. It may be too firm for somebody. Lobby is open air and air conditioned. The ground keeping is nice! I will stay here again!

My boyfriend and I got the superior room. Pros: really nice staff, air conditioning <3 pool was really nice, close to some restuarants (favorite = kuau lung - 5 min walk) right beside a scooter place that you can rent scooters for 150 baht for 24 hours to drive around the island :) couple of english channels of the TV Cons: hard bed/pillow, shower head needed cleaning and controller for shower was broken, hole by balcony door... so lots of little ants can get through - might just be our room that experienced this :(

The room was just as described, except for our surprise that we actually had an ocean view from our fourth floor balcony! Great location in Ko Lanta - just a bit tricky making it across the busy street (they should consider a pedestrian overpass). Tuk tuks always outside of the street for quick transport. It was very nice to be able to use the Andaman Lanta pool and have access to the ocean. Just a bit windy of the beach when we were there.

The hotel was ok but the streets in the area are dirty and dangerous.

Short stay - but the hotel was in a good location so we were able to make the most of it. It also had a really nice pool which was a big plus. The breakfast was disgusting and it ran out nearly 2 hours before the breakfast actually closed.

Staff were friendly and helpful. Room was spacious, bed was comfortable. 3mins away from the beach. They could improve on the cleaniness of the bath tub, other things were fine. And my deluxe sea view room had no view other than the palm trees in front of the balcony. But overall, very good value.

2 nights stay. Overall satisfactory for the dirt cheap price. They should get rid of the bird which squawked the whole night.

Clean, big rooms with lots of space. New bathrooms. Small pool area. Calm and quiet. The beach is just 5-10 mins walk away. No wifi in the rooms, only in hotel lobby. Suitable if you're not spending much time at the hotel. If you're looking to spend time at the hotel I'd recommend a larger resort like Lanta Resort.

The hotel staf is extremely nice and to whatever it takes to make you feel at home. I spend three nights and have a great time. From airport transfers, day trip tours, breakfast, and the room itself, everything was at least good.

Pros: -Great location! Near to Klong Dao, which was beautiful. Be sure to try Pad Thai Like across the street, it's the first food stall south of the Salad House restaurant, right next to the path to the beach. Best Thai food on the whole island at a bargain, run by a wonderful couple! (I've been in Thailand for 8 months, and it was some of the best curry I've had. Also, try the pineapple shake!) -The rooms were clean, comfortable, and we somehow managed to get a wonderful sea view! -The pool is wonderful. -The hotel staff is top notch! They are so friendly and helpful. They even let me print my boarding pass in the office. -This hotel rents motorbikes, and they don't hold your passport while you take the bike, which is almost unheard of in Thailand. Two thumbs up. Cons: -It would suck if we had gotten a room without a covered balcony, because it rained a bit during our stay. -Breakfast was decent, but nothing to rave about.

The hotel has good location - near to beach and ferry pier. Nice pool area. Freindly and helpful staff - can organize roller rent, boat tickets etc. Breakfast was however poor and not so tasty.

Stayed here for 4 nights. Rooms were a good size and had a safety deposit in. Rooms were clean and provided a towel for the pool. Walking distance from the beach (5mins). Short tuk tuk ride away to restaurants. Would stay here again. Massive pool and nice pool area. Only down side was how many flies there were at breakfast

Our favourite hotel on this beach. There is a complementary breakfast served in the reception area until 11.30 AM (highly recommend the "Chinese bread sticks/doughnuts"). Only downside is all the Swedish people who leave their pool towels to "reserve" themselves sunbeds by the pool - for HOURS, resulting in irritation among guests.
