This is a truly magical place. Tucked between tropical jungle and a stunning beach is a little oasis called Klong Jark Bungalows. There my husband and I became members of a family and our departure ended with tears and hugs. I'm not normally someone who wants a lot of interaction with staff and things at hotels, I hate the feeling of being waited on. So when we figured out we were literally the only guests at the place, (Covid low season a large storm had just passed through) I worried we'd feel a little awkward. This couldn't be further from the case. Sue and her friends and family (and cats!) were absolutely there for us whenever we needed anything (more linens, renting scooters, arranging our ferry back to Krabi, breakfast, day trip ideas.) and left us alone when we wanted. We soon realized we wanted to be with her and her kids all the time though and spent most of our time lounging in the restaurant area looking out at the beach. I could see that someone who is used to fancy hotels might find these Bungalows basic, but they are more than comfortable- we had air conditioning, hot water, plenty of linens and a comfy bed. It felt like our own little beach cabin. For reference we had an ocean view bungalow with AC and an attached bathroom. I think others might be even more basic and I still think they would be great. The little porch with a hammock and table is where we spent a lot of our time and it was like living in a dream.

The bungalows are located right on the beach at a calm and beautiful cove. A perfect place for a wonderful family vacation. Sue is an amazing host, supported by her team she makes sure you have the best stay. You can enjoy some of the best food in the island at the restaurant hotel, rent a scooter or book a tour with the confidence that Sue will give you the best price.
