微笑平房

Stannade här i 5 nätter. Otrolig plats men långt ifrån allt annat. Tog över en timma att ta sig dit från piren. Otroligt dålig väg den sista biten. Vi var där under regnoväder så stranden var inget vidare. Men under bra väderförhållanden är det magiskt. Mysiga bungalows precis vid stranden och en mysig restaurang med trevlig personal. Fanns ej kylskåp på rummet.

Der Weg zur Unterkunft ist auf jeden Fall abenteuerlich. Wenn man denkt es kommt nichts mehr, dann muss man dem Schotterweg noch 4km folgen und ist plötzlich da. Die Unterkunft liegt schön direkt am Meer und man schläft mit Wellenrauschen ein. Sehr weit ab vom Schuss. Es ist ein einfaches Bungalow ohne warmes Wasser. Die Mitarbeiter sind freundlich und in den Resorts nebenan kann auch abends Billiard gespielt werden. Hier wird am Strand wird sehr viel Müll abgespült, darüber waren wir etwas überrascht.

This is a very nice place to stay if you are on a budget. This is the best beach on Koh Phangan and they are right on it! No hot water for your shower, and no AC in the rooms but plenty of fans to keep you cool at night. Food is decent and the prices are good. Do yourself a favor and go!

Bottle Beach is still a beautiful place and Smile bungalows is my favorite - but nowadays the travellers vibe is gone and instead there are families, with heaps of (young) children (and with the crying, screaming and temper tantrums along). We arranged a pick-up in Thongsala - nobody came.. The standard room (on Expedia it says 23m2 - same size as a family room) is barely bigger than an economy bungalow (15-18m2). In the end they gave us a family hut - which had two double beds (we don't need that)

Petit village de bungalows niché dans la forêt, qui donne directement sur sur une vaste plage, à la fois tranquille et magnifique. Pour avoir comparé les différentes plages du nord et du nord-ouest de Ko Phangan, c'est vraiment la plus belle et la plus agréable, même si elle est peu connue. Elle est un peu à l'écart mais il est facile de joindre les autres en bateau (pour les amateurs de snorkelling : faire un tour à la presqu'ile de Ko Ma, à 20-25 minute en long tail boat, c'est absolument fabuleux). En plus, le staff du restaurant est adorable et la cuisine excellente et peu chère. Une destination idéale pour des vacances familiales tranquilles et en contact avec la nature, loin du béton et du bruit du sud de l'île.

Just awesome, the beach, the hotel, the staff... I suggest to buy big 5lt bottles of water before going as they don't sell any, just 1.5lt. Ask for the pick-up directly at the pier, it's cheaper and faster than by boat.

Bottle Beach is amazing. Unfortunately Smile Bungalows wasn't. It wasn't expensive, granted. But there are just a few things that could be improved and they could ask for $5 more per night and it still would be fine. Like the internet or re-occuring power cuts (which are really no fun when you only have a fan cooling you). The main reception guy was often very unfriendly. They kicked me out of my room at 10.30, although check-out was at 12, saying new guests are there... SO? Food was nice though and they took good care of the area. All other staff was nice, too.

We had a superior bungalow which was actually up quite a few steps up a steep hill and the bathroom was downstairs which was a challenge in the night. First night we come back there was a rat in the room, we chased it to the bathroom and it boldly lifted the shower drain and went inside. There were droppings everywhere which we stood in. Reported this next day and they said they would solve and clean the room, when we got back there was more droppings so we moved to a cheaper bungalow as that is all they had. In there were more droppings and what appeared to be a half eaten cockroach on the bed. As we were leaving the next day we were very happy to leave. Bottle beach is quiet if that's your thing but everything closes really early. Staff were friendly and helpful.

Leider schwer zu erreichen und schwer weg zu kommen...um 2-3 Tage in Abgeschiedenheit zu verbringen ist es traumhaft, aber mit dem Roller die Insel zu erobern ist von diesem Platz nahezu unmöglich ....nehmt genügend gewechseltes Geld mit und Zigaretten, beides ist dort schwer zu bekommen...der Strand ist traumhaft

ロケーション良いバンガローでお値段以上だと思います。海もとても綺麗でシュノーケルには最高です。 水シャワーなので早めの時間に浴びるのをオススメします。

Waren 7 Nächte im Smile B. Top Lage in natürlicher Umgebung. Ein guter Platz zum relaxen. Tolle hilfsbereiter Staff aus Mianmar. Food Qualität ok, aber etwas überrissene Preise! Bungalowanlage/Restaurant teilweise schmuddelige Kissen und Hängematten. Dem Abfall um die Anlage wird nicht viel Bedeutung geschenkt. (Überall in Thailand, sonder hinter das Hotel geworfen..) Komme aber immer wieder gerne...

Haad Khuad (Bottle Beach) is beautiful and unspoiled, and can be reached by longboat (beautiful journey) or 4WD through the jungle. You must at least visit for a day. As for smile, the staff are lovely and the food is decent in taste, presentation, and price. The bungalows are really cute but are very basic. In the 'economic' one, the shower is pretty much over the toilet, with little room. There's a fan, not AC. The power sockets have been pushed in, so charge your gear in the beachfront cafe/bar/restaurant. What I'm saying is if you can rough it a little, you'll love this place. The snorkelling was okay on the east/right side of the beach. Some coral, some colourful fish. Visibility was not great. There's no sunset here, because it faces north, but the clouds still go orange. Anyway, do visit this very petty beach!

A great place to escape if you want a break with basic amenities. A true paradise type get-away with lots of people to chat too on their travels. The location is beautiful and relatively quiet, with very basic accommodation. It took an hour by 4x4 to reach the resort by road and very steep dirt tracks. Which I think adds to the experience.

Das Personal war sehr unfreundlich und unkoordiniert. Das Essen brauchte teilweise über eine Stunde oder würde auch mal ganz vergessen, dafür wurde sich nicht einmal entschuldigt. Der Mülleimer mit den Sanitätertüchern wurde erst nach drei maligner Bitte entleert und Toilettenpapier müsste man sich jedes mal aus dem Restaurant holen. Die Matratze war so hart, dass man nach dem ersten Tag schon Rückenschmerzen hatte und die Hängematte war verschümmelt und roch unerträglich. Alles in allem überhaupt nicht weiter zu empfehlen und besonderes nicht um zu entspannen.

Pure Entspannung! Tolles Personal, toller Strand, viel Ruhe.

Quite secluded from the rest of the island, the bungalows sit at a beautiful beach. Staff is friendly and will go out of their way to help you. The barbecue is killer. Recommended.

You get what you pay, so the bungalow is very basic, but placed on a beautiful beach. Downside is, it is hard to reach, no store, ATM or wifi. Nice staff, the restaurant has good food but small portions for a price. You can also arrange for a drive to the main pier, it is cheaper than going by yourself. Not sure if will stay here ever again, but was OK.
