There are probably a lot of hotels that are more pretty than this one. But the staff are so friendly and I think they have the best food in phangan! If I would go back to phangan I would stay here

I booked the Thaniza after reading a bunch of different revues. I wanted to be close to Haad Rin without being right in town because of the noise factor and this ended up being perfect. Its a 10 minute walk on the beach into town, maybe 15 to sunrise beach. Its 100 baht taxi ride back in the morning after partying it up in town. The staff are incredibly friendly and nice as other reviewers have mentioned. I really felt welcome there. The food is great and well priced in the restaurant and the beach ends up being practically a private beach. There's a pool just down the beach that's open to the public if you want a beach, Coral something or other, has a monthly huge beach party. If I go back to Koh Phangan I'm going to stay here again.

I paid 5 times more around fullmoon period but in nearer place has hotel too but it was not show available in app because i asked them so and this hotel far from haadrin and power cut in evening. I checked in same time as my next door guests and i asked them how much.....yes I paid more than them because i booked from app...... everythings suck there

We stayed there one night (of our 5 night trip in Thailand) and it was our worst, but most expensive night. Where do I begin..... There were bugs on the floor, the AC took hours to cool the room, there was absolutely no water pressure for a shower, the provided shampoo/soaps were half used, half of the plug-ins didn't work, the bed was old and uncomfortable! Such a disappointment, wouldn't recommend it to anyone for the cost!

Stayed here for the Full Moon Party- good location for it, within a 20 minute walk to the beach.
The hotel is right on a nice beach that was great for the sunset. Hotel and rooms themselves could use an update.

Amazing location. situation on a picturesque, sandy beach. Location was not to far away from full moon party. Only stayed the one night but would definitely be back to the same area again. only downside was rooms could do with a little updating. more than suitable for a nights stay.

Clean budget hotel.... Location pretty poor a good 20 mins walk into Had Rin were all restaurants and bar/beach is, a lot of hills aswel with a seven eleven half way.
Beach was 20yards away but tide was always out so shall rocks pools so couldn't get near the sea without protective footwear on.
Owner was nice and helped us wen asked but rooms weren't cleaned in three days although we didn't ask.
Bathroom/shower was poor.
No noise at night tho and air con was very good.
Overall better cheaper places closer to the beach and party If your heading there.
Making sure u fist rock cafe at end of the beach on your right.
Found it on last night massive and I mean massive menu with so much choice and very cheap! Have a hotel aswel.

We stayed here only for the full moon it was a minimum three night stay and it was two days too many. The room is very basic the air con is awful and the bed feels dirty. As we walked in there was bugs everywhere, the shower dribbled and was salt water from the sea so my hair never felt clean. The beach is really nice but stony as you walk in and the sunchairs are very uncomfortable. We stayed out of this hotel as much as possible as it was horrible!

Great hotel close to everything we needed for a few days stay on koh Phangan. The staff was amazing and the food was really good. Room was a little dates but very clean. The resort hooked us up with bikes and info about our connecting ferry very easily. Overall a really great experience.

Very nice people and perfekt location for people whowant some quiet time and the staff i perfekt.. Scooters can be rented just outside the hotel for 150 baht for 1 day and you have to leave the passport there but its o problem. only minus was it was Cold Water in the shower

Stayes at the hotel for 3 nights (deluxe room), but decided to move on for something more authentic. The hotel was ok, but a bit "too concrete" for us. A bit like a mass Mediterranean hotel built in the 80s.
Staff is friendly, however a 1000 THB or passport deposit is requested immediately upon check-in as a key deposit (saying we will lose it), unique policy given that we've payed everything in advance.

The hotel is something out of the 1930's in a bad way. It's falling to bits , rooms are damp and not properly cleaned ever, tv doesn't work. It's not that well located for had rin town - it's a 20 walk and no taxis are easily found either way. Price was unbelievably high as we were persuaded to book before going due to full moon party - big mistake. This place obviously preys and only operates when people feel there are no options. Believe me we went at high season and there were proper hotels and rooms available for the night of FMP at half the price of this dreadful place. We moved there and were so glad to get out of it. This should not be in a reputable site to book

Great view of the sea and the hotel is right on the beach. The room itself was OK, but the bathroom though clean was disappointing - no room to move. I paid for a deluxe room but I have to wonder what made it deluxe. At the time I stayed, other hotels nearby offered better value.

We arrived late night to the hotel and received superior room which was very bad quality.
During that night, we change 2 more rooms, until we got something that is reasonable.
The Sea view is above all, and waking up just looking the sea, you forgot everything.

My friend and I stayed here for two nights a week after the Full Moon Party. The island as a whole was very quiet, but this hotel was in a very quiet and peaceful location away from the main party area in Haad Rin. However, it was only a 10-15 minute walk to Haad Rin so we were able to spend time there without being right in the middle of all the madness. The staff was unbelievably nice and even drove me into town to get tickets for a cruise that we wanted to go on. The room was basic, with two beds, a balcony and a clean bathroom. The AC was very strong and definitely kept us cool in the hot weather. I would definitely reccommend this hotel and I would stay here again if I went back to Koh Phangan.
