A really great place to stay at a very good price. Service was incredible and the restaurant served lovely food! At low tide about 40 minute walk along the beach to Laem Had Beach as well. Would highly recommend staying here (felt very safe and the rooms were very clean with good and well functioning facilities and amenities)

Wir sind das 2. Jahr in Folge jeweils 16 Tage im Thiwson gewesen und wir lieben das ursprüngliche Flair, was das Hotel ausstrahlt. Die Lage ist atemberaubend, vor allem der Ausblick auf die vielen umliegenden Inseln. Beide male hatten wir einen Strandbungalow mit direktem Blick aufs Meer.
Die Freundlichkeit der Hotelmitarbeiter ist überragend und man sollte Unfreundlichkeit, wie von manch anderen hier beschrieben, übrigens nicht mit Zurückhaltung verwechseln. Die Leute auf Koh Yao Yai sind nämlich alle zuvorkommend aber eher etwas ruhig, was auch auf die Sprachbarriere zurück zu führen ist.
Die Anlage selbst ist größtenteils aus Holz errichtet und da dies ein natürlicher Rohstoff ist, ist es auch normal, dass nicht alles perfekt aussieht. Jedoch ist alles gepflegt und sauber.
Wer einen noblen Betonklotz mit Marmorwänden und Böden haben möchte, soll doch bitte in der Türkei Urlaub machen und sich von den Touristenmassen ertrampeln lassen.
Das Essen ist für Hotelverhältnisse sehr gut und dazu noch günstig.
Wer sich einfach nur nach Ruhe sehnt, kaum Menschen um sich herum haben und thailändischen Flair genießen möchte, ist hier genau richtig.

Could be a great hotel.
Beach area requires some attention rumble and rubbish around. You are unable to walk along the beech due to this.
Staff helpful in general, checkin/office guy not so friendly and not helpful.
Reserved a motor bike, very poor quality looked like one of the staffs for premium rates, you’d be better to book from one of the local vendors not the hotel.

Detta är ett fint hotell i ett lugnt område.
Två pooler som är inte stora men väldigt charmiga och med oslagbar utsikt.
Mat är riktigt god och frukost är fantastiskt!
Det som skulle kunna förbättras är pool däck (som känns mindre bra) och någon typ av regelbundet transfer till stranden (då det är inte möjligt att bada vid hotellet)

Wir waren mit einem Kleinkind in der Unterkunft. Die Insel ist nur was für Backpacker, da man ohne Roller komplett aufgeschmissen ist.
Was uns an der Unterkunft gestört hat. Extrem viele Ameisen im Zimmer. Das frühstücksbuffett war um Welten schlechter als in den anderen Hotels die wir besucht haben. Ameisen neben dem Toastbehälter. Der obere Pool war total trüb. Konnten nicht baden gehen.
Die Hütten sind toll man könnte soviel daraus machen. Einfach mal die Latten dicht machen, den Verschluss zur aussenduschtür abdichten. Ventilator am Balkon. Tür zum Haus verschließbar machen (Tür war durch einfaches ruckeln am Türknopf zu öffnen)

Virkelig et fint hotel, hvor du får good value for money. De er flinke til at hjælpe med transport til færgen, når man er ankommet, og dejlig nemt at leje en scooter. Fin morgenmad, der både har thailandsk og europæiske rødder, og kaffe på kaffemaskine. God udsigt. Vær obs på, at Deluxe Hill top værelset kræver, at man går op af en bakke i et stykke, så værelset ligger ikke lige ved hotellet. Der er dog 1 pool ved selve hotellet, og en oppe ved deluxe hill top hytterne. Der kan være en del larm fra dyr også - så tag eventuelt ørepropper med.

Got picked up at the pier by the hotel and thought “this is nice”. Did not tell me it was not included with the resort and actually cost 4x what the taxis were charging. Drinks were not good and were overpriced. Got a “mango colada” and they filled the glass up not even halfway (probably 8 oz) and charged 190 baht. The group of women that served me and my wife were honestly rude and I will not be back to this “resort” or Koh Yao Yai. We have been island hopping and Koh Yao Noi is just 100000x better.

We stayed in 2 of their rooms; the first night was in first line with a view of the beach, with a big porch, jacuzzi, and lots of space. It was the most luxurious room we stayed in for whole trip, and it wasn’t too expensive. We loved the look and decoration of the place, and it was very clean and comfortable. The next night we stayed at one of the smaller rooms on the second line from the beach. This room was perfectly fine, and cost half of the first room.
For the “downside” this hotel is very family friendly, so if you are looking for a quiet place without big families and kids playing, this place might be a bit noisy, especially by the pool area. The location could also use a sandy beach, as you have to enter the ocean through stairs on a concrete wall. But a real beach is within few minutes driving. The personnel are nice but they speak very little English and seem a bit reserved at times. Overall the service was the bare minimum, no more or less.

Comfortable enough, however they were renovating all the time around us. The only time they stopped was when there was a power cut or at night.
In the photos it looks like there is a beach but it is actually a wall with a big step into mud, not sand. Not a swimming beach.
The pool is very nice, but most of the deck and outdoor durniture is in bad condition and dangerous in some areas.
The staff were great.

A simple, quiet place, with great pool overlooking the beach and wonderful ocean views. Restaurant was OK ... convenient and friendly service, food was average. A wonderful, tranquil alternative to the much noisier and crowded Phuket scene. Very reasonably priced. Friendly and helpful staff. Mostly European guests.
