Das Varmtel liegt in einer Seitenstraße. Zu erreichen ist es entweder über die BTS Station Saphan Taksin, die direkt am Sathon Pier liegt. Hier kann man den Fluss entweder über eine 10-minütigen Marsch über die Brücke oder mit der Fähre übersetzen. Das Hotel ist neu renoviert und stylisch eingerichtet. Wir hatten das Deluxe-Zimmer gebucht und waren sehr zufrieden. Zum Frühstück gab es entweder Brot oder Cornflakes. Auf Anfrage bereite die nette ältere Dame auch ein frisches Spiegelei zu. Hotellage ist super um mit den Booten zu Chinatown, Wat Pho, Wat Arun, usw. anzusteuern.

Sehr lieber Host, der uns immer mit Rat und Tat zur Seite stand. Frühstück ist ziemlich einfältig, aber okay. Wir würden sofort wieder dort Urlaub machen :)

Unser Aufenthlat im Varmtelhotel hat uns positiv überrascht. Es ist ein ganz neues kleines Hotel über fünf Etagen mit Dachterrasse. Diese könnte noch ein wenig verschönert werden, aber ich denke, es ist noch im Aufbau. Die Zimmer sind geräumig, sehr sauber, schön dekoriert und auch das Badezimmer lässt keine Wünsche offen. Das Frühstück ist ausgezeichnet, es gibt eine Karte, aus der man sich etwas aussuchen kann und es wird sofort in der sauberen Küche frisch zubereitet. Der Kaffee ist auch sehr gut. Das Varmtel liegt sehr zentral an der Saphan Taksin in einer ruhigen Nebenstrasse , so dass man zügig mit der Fähre und anschließend mit dem Skytrain oder mit einem der Expressboote seinen Tag gestalten kann. Das Personal oder die Eigentümerfamile sind ausgeprochen freundlich. Wir haben sogar ein Frühstück bekommen, als wir am letzten Tag um 6.15 Uhr auchecken mussten, das war allerdings etwas holprig, man war noch ziemlich verschlafen und wir mussten dann darauf hinweisen, dass wir jetzt dann doch frühstücken wollen. Hat dann auch geklappt.

We book a two queen bed room. The hotel ended up provide us a connecting room. That is just awesome, now we have 2 bath room to use and kids have their own TV set. We love the simple order to cook breakfast, simple eggs and hotdog make the day.

Great location, great employees, very comfortable place, the beds were comfortable and the breakfast was good. The only issue is that there is not an elevator.

We had a great stay at Varmtel, the welcome was friendly and the staff were always really polite and helpful. It’s in a quiet location on the West side of Bangkok but you can still walk to the sky train and river boats and we always found it easy to get a taxi. There are plenty of places to eat and drink nearby too. The place was spotlessly clean and was modern and industrial with warm touches. The room was quiet, nicely decorated and the bed and pillows were super comfy. Breakfast was lovely - a combination of help yourself to tea, coffee, cereal & toast with an option for eggs cooked to order too. We had a great time and would certainly stay there again.

L'hôtel est un peu difficile à trouver mais l'accueil est très chaleureux, déco très sympa, chambre spacieuse et propre. L'hôtel se situe à quelques minutes du métro en passant par de petites rues, et juste à côté d'une station de bateaux pour se déplacer par le fleuve.

The hotel is behind the main street via a dark alley (in the night) so it is a little challenging to locate it. Our taxi drivers missed it twice. The nearest BTS station is about 12min walk from the hotel, there is no shelter on this path so it is not convenient to walk if it's raining (happened during my trip). This hotel is a little far out from the city area (6 stops to Siam BTS) and more than 40min journey by BTS to most tourist attractions. There are 24-hour convenience shop and supermarket, and cafes nearby so it is convenient if you have run out of supplies or needed to chill before/after a long day. We knew about the location accessibility when we booked the room but the walk out and back to the hotel made us weary after a long day of shopping and walking around the city. Despite the poor location accessibility, we had very good rest every night because of the big comfy bed, clean and quiet environment. Also, we had a good start of the day with the free breakfast cooked-to order by the housemaid. The hotel and room photos are exactly the same in reality. I would recommend this hotel to tourists who prefer a comfortable and slow-paced holiday.
