Loves: our room was very spacious, we had a lovely balcony that overlooked the pool from the 2nd floor, the staff was friendly and helpful, location made it very walkable yet quiet, close to restaurants and shops Misses: the bed was not very comfortable, the floor is quite slippery in socks so be careful, the pool deck was very narrow making it hard to walk between lounge chairs without falling into the water

Really lovely resort type accommodation in the middle of Chiang Mai old town. Rooms are a generous size with a very comfortable bed. Other amenities include a mini fridge and coffee making equipment. The hotel grounds were well kept with lush gardens throughout. The pool was nice. Breakfast was good. The hotel is in a really good location right next to the Sunday night markets.

The hotel is great in general, some of the design choices are weird. Lets start with the floor, it is too slippery, socks slide and also the rugs. Bathroom was wrongly setup with shampoo and soap in the opposite side of the shower, trashcan next to the toilet blocking access to seat, finally in my room the hot shower would stop working properly, I didn't even have time to complaint because of activities and only strayiung 2 nights.

The staff were very friendly and the rooms were spacious and in a unique Thai teakwood style. The pool was also really picturesque.

Amazing stay at a beautiful location with the BEST customer service. One of the ladies at the reception desk literally walked us to a local cleaner for laundry services, where she translated / did the talking for us to the service we needed. She then walked us to the edge of the Sunday Night Market. I wish I could remember her name. She deserves a huge shout out. Everyone greets you with a smile and are very warm. The location is great. It is a short walk to anything and very close to the Sunday Night Market. The hotel itself is excellent. It has an awesome pool, delicious meals, and spacious and comfortable rooms. The only regret we have is that our stay was not longer. It was beyond enjoyable. I highly recommend this hotel.

Grest central location. Comfortable and clean. Lovely pool. We had a balconh room but qere unfortunately the kne corner room that looked out to a wall and turf rooftop rather than the pool. But otherwise no complaints.

I was traveling with my partner for his birthday and this was our second stay in Thailand. The staff were wonderful, helpful and friendly. The property was very clean and the air conditioning worked very well, really important when it’s so hot outside. The surrounding area was right in the heart of everything. We walked to the temples, markets, restaurants and everything was basically at your front door. We would highly recommend this place and cannot wait to come back again soon! They made us feel so special and welcome. The restaurant makes delicious food and fruit smoothies are incredible and so refreshing. The pool is nice and small so it crowds quickly, but there is so much to do in the area you won’t even miss it. They surprised my fiancé with a cake for his birthday it was such a special place and we were lucky to stay here. It will hold a place in our hearts for sure!

Beautiful hotel! We arrived in Chiang Mai on the sleeper train at around 7:30am and our checkin was not until 2pm but the hotel were very welcoming and allowed us to store our bags, get breakfast and change our clothes so we could head out for the day until our room was ready. When we did check in staff helped to carry my bags to our room (there is no lift and we were on third floor). Staff also offered to support with booking of tours and we asked for some recommendations on the best white water rafting excursion as there were a few options, they didn’t know which was best but helped us call around providers and were very jovial and helpful. The room overlooking the pool is spectacular, so beautiful, comfortable and we were tempted to extend our stay because we loved the hotel so much. Breakfast was standard and again staff very helpful and attentive. The bed was really comfortable to sleep in and aircon worked great which was a relief as Chiang Mai was especially hot during our stay. Location of the hotel is ideal, it’s adjacent to the main walking street but is tucked away and so serene and tranquil. Definitely include a Sunday evening in your stay if possible to enjoy Chiang Mai’s Sunday Night market. You turn out of the hotel and walk two minutes down the road and find sprawling foods, clothes and goods market that goes on street after street. Viangluang Resort really made our trip to Chiang Mai so special and we would definitely recommend.
