Have stayed here many times , good location classic property witb excellent food

Ich war nochmal 3 Nächte im Speke Hotel und finde das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis im Vergleich zu anderen Hotels in Kampala sehr gut. Das Essen war lecker und die Zimmer sind super. Such das Personal ist super freundlich und sehr hilfsbereit.

Speke Hotel ist ein tolles Hotel im Zentrum von Kampala. Die Zimmer sind geräumig und verfügen über alles notwendige (Klimaanlage, Steckdosen, Handtücher, Kühlschrank). Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Im Rock Garden Restaurant kann man lecker frühstücken.

思ったより古すぎなくて良いホテルでした。

Almost no water in tap or shower. Whitney Houston music from early morning to 11pm from the dining area. Run down and shabby

Room was comfortable. Shower facility was good. Asked for a hair blow dryer which they provided. Provided a nice breakfast box as we had to leave very early. I would recommend the Speake hotel

Too expensive for the value of the rooms

Property is very comfortable in all terms

On the whole very pleasant. Polite and helpful staff. Except that the girl at reception always tries to give us a room that is cheaper than the one we have booked and paid for. This has happened twice in a row. On thé plus side the manager has contacted us when we had left a bag by mistake and we got it back.

Initially I booked an apartment-it is not clear from the site that you have to walk across a muddy car park to get there. The apartments are really poor quality. So I upgrade my 2 day stay to a room, which was nicer but still not in the main hotel. I paid USD 15 for this but when I came to check out I had to pay another USD 15. There was no hot water in the room and the shower attachment leaked terribly. I was offered a room change because of the water but a friend who was staying there said he too had no hot water so there seemed little point. The reception staff are uninterested generally. The breakfast is poor.

A good central location, apartments/suites are subject to external noises (2 night of loud music!) but otherwise well appointed. Staff are great, meals were lovely.

Great place for the price , the staff was amazing. In one of the best parts of town as far as location . I would recommend this hotel if you come to Kampala.

I booked a standard apartment for 4 nights, which was bigger than expected but pleasant. It is not in the hotel, but out the bar area and across a parking bay. Not a problem for me, and the autonomy of an apartment makes it worthwhile. The staff was friendly and helpful, the Indian food in the Khyber Pass was probably the best I've had. The kitchen in the apartment was stocked with plates and cookware, stove and fridge worked as well. I would definitely stay at the Speke again and I highly recommend it.
