Our favorite hotel in Tahoe! The spacious rooms are amazing and we love the kitchen option. The location is walkable to the casinos or great restaurants. Hop on a bike and enjoy the nearby trails or walk down to the beach. Afterwards, relax in one of two hot tubs, bbq, or enjoy a swim in the pool.
The staff is always friendly! On this particular trip, we had an incident with our initial room and they really came through by upgrading us to a two bedroom suite. They’re awesome and we highly recommend 3 peaks.

Property was dated, and a little rundown. Lots of boxes were out in the lobby, and it didn’t look neat. The reservation was for three people in our room, yet they didn’t set the room with enough towels for us.

3 Peaks is an affordable South Lake Tahoe hotel with a nice location, it is walking distance to the lake, restaurants and Lake Tahoe Boulevard/Heavenly Village. (We were glad we didn't stay at a hotel directly on Lake Tahoe Boulevard as it was a busy road.)
The hotel has a pool and two-level hot tub as well as a partnership with Lakeside Beach. Beach vouchers are available in the lobby and allow for a $5 entry pp during the day and free entry after 5 pm. (The beach charges $30 pp during the day and $10 after 5 pm without a voucher.) Additionally, the hotel has free parking and WiFi (and no resort fee!)
The hotel has a variety of room types, we stayed in one of the two bedroom options. We enjoyed the extra space, huge Smart TVs and comfortable beds. However, the room, furniture and decor were older and quite worn. We also had several maintenance issues during our stay (but upon calling the front desk, they were fairly quick to address.)
Overall, this hotel is a decent option for the area (just keep in mind that your room may be older, etc.)

An older property. Our room could use some TLC. Light switches in odd places. Bathroom sink didn’t drain properly unless the plug was pulled out. Outlets on the alarm clock didn’t function. Kitchen table dirty.

The location was advertised as on Lake Tahoe but was a couple blocks away. The AC units were falling apart besides one that looked newer. We only stayed one night but were dismayed at what we considered a bit of misleading advertising. The shower and bathroom were tiny, using the toilet and had the TP dispenser digging into my ribs, getting the TP was a whole different experience. Then the shower was narrow and I had to stand at an angle to wash if I stood straight my arms hit the wall and the door. I am a larger man, not overweight, just muscular. Someone any wider than me would have a heck of a time in that bathroom....lol.
