The Ashworth is a long-standing hotel institution in Hampto Beach. As with most of the older ocean hotels in the New Hampshire/Maine area, the room was a little worn around the edges. It was clean and comfortable, in a great centralized location. The valet parking is a godsend for the crowded beach area. The Wharfside Cafe at the hotel was a very nice place for breakfast. The Breakers Restaurant at the hotel was a mixed bag. My wife and sister-in-law enjoyed their haddock plate and sandwich. My hamburger tasted off (later in the night I was proven correct) and my brother-in-law’s pizza appeared to be the frozen variety,JMO. The staff was friendly and helpful when needed. As with any hotel on beachfront property, it’s a little pricey. I would recommend this hotel with the caveat that don’t expect a 5 star resort.

Property location and view were excellent. Hotel cafe had great food and service. I think they’d really thrive with some added phones in the room with room and guest service.

Prime location across the street from the beach so paying higher rate is expected but it's not worth the pricetag - condition of the building is rundown, no running water in the restroom off the lobby, room not cleaned properly with empty drink cups on the balcony and bobby pins on the bathroom counter so you know that wasn't wiped, no noise cancelling efforts so room was very loud with traffic and voices outside, horrible bed, no in room phone to easily call front desk, no in room directory with local information, photos online are misleading making it look nicer than it is. Don't recommend for families - really just good as a place to crash after the beach for the partying crowd.

Excellent motel. Rooms very clean and comfortable. Staff friendly. Valet parking was awesome. Really like restaurant options downstairs, very convenient. Walkable to beach, shopping, restaurants and events. Only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars was all the extra fees charged to my credit card. Other than $25 parking fee per day not really sure about the other charges.

I was disappointed with my stay. The listing advertised a gym, but there was no gym available. Upon entering my room, I noticed a dirty towel on the balcony floor, chip crumbs on the desk chair, and a wrapper under the desk—clear signs that the room wasn’t properly cleaned. The lobby and restaurant areas are visually appealing, and the staff was friendly, but unfortunately, the food was overpriced for its subpar quality. I also attempted to use the pool, but it looked murky and unclean, which made me uncomfortable swimming in it. For the cost of the stay, it simply wasn’t worth it. I’ve stayed at more affordable hotel/motels that were cleaner and more enjoyable. I had higher expectations based on the price and appearance of the entrance, but sadly, I was wrong.

Enjoyed our stay

My friend and I come annually for an overnight at Hampton Beach with our two daughters. We’ve stayed at hotels Airbnb‘s and this was our first time at Ashworth by the sea. We will certainly be booking here every time from here forward the location was perfect right on the beach. The room was beautiful and clean with an ocean view. The valley parking was wonderful. The restaurants were convenient and had the perfect selection. The indoor pool was fantastic whether it was too hot outside or rainy. We had an absolutely wonderful time. The service at the front desk was friendly overall our best trip yet.😁

Nice location for super easy beach access. Suitable rooms but not a great stay due to check-in error. Upon check-in the front desk seemed confused about which room to assign me. The younger guy at the desk even called his supervisor to confirm he had the right room #. When I got to 'my' room someone was already in there. Had to head back down to get a new room, which was challenging as I was solo with my young son and luggage. Got my room re-assigned by a different older guy at the front desk who barely shrugged an apology at me being given an occupied room. When the younger guy who'd first checked me in overheard and tried to apologize, the older guy got power trip-y and shut him down. In any other situation like this I've been given something comped, or at least a more hearty apology, but this hotel didn't seem to care. The room was fine. Don't expect anything luxurious; i.e., super small towels First visit to Hampton Beach--if I return, it won't be to here. They definitely could have built more goodwill by being more apologetic about their mistake. Other staff we encountered were nice.

We were highly disappointed when we arrived and neither room was ready. 3 hours after we arrived, we got the call rooms finally ready. We get to our rooms and don't know what they were doing during that time because our room had no toilet paper, old food left in fridge and m&ms all over floor which we had our dog with us so this could have turned out bad if she ate any. My son's room had a flood in the bathroom and he had to use all the towels to clean it up and getting more towels for him to shower was impossible so he ended up going to a souvenir store and buying some. He also had rotten food left in his fridge. Then I paid $100 per room for late check out at 1pm and at 11am they were knocking on our doors saying check out was at 10. They proceeded to charge my son $300 for an extra night because of not leaving room at 10 when I paid to have rooms until 1. They did refund that when I went to desk and they realized their error but again it was unnecessary stress and aggravation for what was supposed to be a relaxing mini vacation. I would never go back there again.

The place is prime location but there is no safe for valuables in the room,very old style tub,other than that nice location,friendly stuff just needs upgrading

Amazing, easy and relaxing stay! Super easy to check in, pull right up to hotel and the valet takes it from there. Perfect location at the end of the strip. Quiet location but super close to the action. Highly recommend!

We've stayed at many properties over the years in Hampton Beach, and Ashworth tops them all. I personally could do without the valet parking, but it was simple and fast service to recall our car. Would certainly stay here again.

Great location just at top of strip which is less than desirable. Too bad it’s kinda cheesy . Wish they had better shops and better food. I will say the strip is clean and plenty of police doing laps. Hotel was best choice for us. Large rooms and clean. Balcony nice and couldn’t beat the view. Would stay again. Pool area could use some Palm trees ! Overall a good stop on our travels.

All amenities are provided: shower soaps, coffee, water, fresh towels, great housekeeping, exceptional valet parking. Recommend for family, elevator access an additional appreciated feature.Staff friendly and professional.Clean hotel, and the beach is conveniently close by.

The room had a strong odor of hand sanitizer when you rub in on your hands. However the strong smell never went away!mi assume they cleaned the room with an alcohol based cleaner. There was also long black hairs in the shower and on the window sills! I mentioned the stong smell to the desk agent. They sent out a kid who said he did not know anything. Our last night we heard loud banging above us around midnight. I called the front desk and she said she would take care of it. The banging continued until well after 1:30 AM! She said she would take 59.00 off our bill but I have not seen the credit yet.
