Best Travel Inn Philipsburg

It was a normal place. Not good enough but not bad still. The front desk is a nice person.

It is not handicap friendly! I asked for a handicap room and didn't get one. I don't think they have any or don't know what it entails. From parking lot to sidewalk was a step up, from the sidewalk to room a bigger step. The bathroom was very small no grab bars, toilet was so low I had trouble and I had to buy a chair to put in the bathtub so I could take a shower. I wasn't sure if the white towels were even clean they were so dinghy. I was very disappointed. Grab bars are a huge help to a handicap person and should have them in every room for safety sake. The room seemed to be clean, didn't notice any bedbugs which was a plus. The place needs many repairs and upgrades. I don't recommend for anyone with a disability.

Dated furnishings reminiscent of a motel from 40 years ago, but reasonably clean and everything in the room worked. If you don't have your own transportation, it might be a little hard to stay here because there's not much on the property and it's a little ways away from restaurants, markets, etc.

I realize the property is far from Penn State, which reduces the price, but it would be great if the owners upgraded the property to ensure cleanliness, hot water, and a warm room on cold nights.

Needed a quiet, clean place to stay for one night while traveling. This fit the need. Inn is located right across the street from the American Diner, where we had a full breakfast for a reasonable price.

Place needs some serious updating! Very loud with trucks braking all night, then the train. No hot water, not even warm the first morning. I told the lady at the front desk she said she will talk to “Bob”. Second morning no hot water, ice cold. So I talk to Bob, he says he raised the hot water but some else must of used all the hot water. Third morning no hot water . Then he has the audacity to charge to keep one of my dogs inside the room crated one night. Don’t go near this place.

Dead bolt needs to be fixed. Had to crawl out window get screw driver from truck to take it apart so we could get out door was room 102 Was nobody in office to tell when we left in the early morning

Good quality for the price. Quiet and nice room.

We were disappointed that although we booked a room with a queen bed, when we arrived we were given a room with two standard beds.

It was near the place i was going to work for the week.

Restaurant across the street was good! Room was not bad, quiet and comfortable.

The room was almost as cold as the outside (26 F) and the guy in the reception told me to use the heating control on the wall which did nit di anything. I slept with all my clothes on, under two blankets. The reception was very warm of course!

The motel was good and the staff friendly.

We had a great, convenient stay at the Best Travel Inn. Both check-in and check-out were smooth and friendly. Certainly no-frills, but we were just looking for a place to sleep. Note: you do have to go to the lobby for coffee, as there are no coffee makers in the room. However, there was a microwave and small fridge in the room.

Great stay here. Bob the proprietor is a friendly man who was very responsive to our requests during our stay. We plan to stay here again.
